So,Im not sure if servers are down or anything but i tried logging onto fortnite yesterday and today but when i try to login a message pops up saying "an unexpected error occurred while signing in to your account for xbox live. Please try again later." Now idk what this means because ive never had this issue in the past and im also aware that fortnite does NOT need xbox live to play so can anyone help with this?

Xbox Live is just the Xbox network. You don’t have to pay for it, it is just the things that makes it all work.

“Gold” is the paid multiplayer thing, which isn’t needed for fortnite.

Then your accoubt is fine and you have the right password and stuff.

Reboot your Xbox again. Try logging in again. You could always try doing the “reset to factory settings” option on your Xbox also.
