I cannot select anything in the xbox menus because every time I even tap the D-pad/joystick, it goes over a space or two. Is there a way to fix this?

This usually means you have a stuck key or button down and it's acting like key repeat is already engaged
Do you have any other controllers or USB keyboards attached?

Nope. Just my standard xbox controller.
It just randomly happens. Just a second ago it was acting up, now it's working just fine.

If you take the batteries out of the controller / unplug it and then turn it back on it usually fixes it but it may mean there's a short or something in your controller.

Should I take it apart to see if theres anything wrong then?
