I don't remember the direct link, but if you type "Microsoft Account Balance" in google, you'll be directed to login and it should show you how much balance you actually have. Assuming you're logged into the right account.

Click the payment method it's attempting to use. You should be able to change payment methods.

What is likely happening (I've experienced this before) is that your credit card is set as the default payment method, which is the first method it will use. I don't remember how, but there's a way to change the default to your microsoft balance.

You should be able to change it manually by clicking the thing to change your payment method. I just don't remember how to set the default.

hey chris, sorry for the late response but i was reading some reddit comments about my problem, and it basically said that i need like a vanilla visa to make purchase, like games like minecraft needs to buy with a credit card and in my opinion thats hella dumb.
