So I have purchased Halo Wars 2 Complete Edition, and everything was going great until when I launched the game and found the Awakening the Nightmare add-on was not detected by my game despite being installed on my Xbox Series X. All attempts to uninstall and reinstall the add-on to get it working has failed, and I'm already requesting a refund. I plan to buy the Complete Edition back again, but I really want to know how to fix the problem with Halo Wars 2 not detecting that I have Awakening the Nightmare installed on my console.

Keep attempting to restart the game.
Halo Wars 2 can be a bit finicky with detecting the add-ons.
One thing you can attempt is to reinstall the entitlement without fully closing the game then restart the game.

I have done that precisely when I said that I have done so multiple times. I kept the game running, and the installation still was not even detected once.
I should add that I have already requested a refund of the game just to make sure that when I buy it back again, Awakening the Nightmare will work next time around
