So I brought max Payne 3 just now and in the order and purchase history it says order completed but when I try to open the game it says “ do you own the game “ thing and when I check on Microsoft store on my Xbox one it still says buy to own when I already own it , i used the Xbox app on my phone before hand like before purchasing the game to download the game on my Xbox and not wait around for it to download, what do I do now how do I resolve this issue ( I can’t upload screenshot here but if u want to see screenshot plz DM me )

when you download the game though the xbox app on mobile it just downloads the game to your console you then need to buy the game in the store
They cant charge you on the mobile app otherwise google would want a 30% cut as per there terms of service

No no I brought it on my Xbox itself (it’s currently night time ) , I just downloaded it in the afternoon to my Xbox as I was waiting for the email delivery of my Xbox gift card , which I redeemed and I bought the game with my Microsoft account balance

I would try restart your xbox hold the power button for 30 seconds till it turns off and then turn it back on. Make sure you get the boot up screen

Yea I signed in with the right account, I think it’s glitched cause I also bought RDR2 after purchasing max Payne 3 , and RDR2 works perfectly fine I did the same method as Max Payne download it in the afternoon, I can launch RDR2 but not max Payne as in Microsoft store and my library it does not recognise I own the game

Nope didn’t work , tried calling the toll free Microsoft support number , it said they are closed now please call during business hours (obviously it’s 12AM here in India and my gaming night is ruined ) , plz let me know if I can do any other troubleshooting steps and could u link if there is like a 24/7 chat support or smt

If the website says you own it, but going to the store page on any device says you don’t then I’d first assume that you were logged in as the wrong account. Confirming that, I’d contact customer support.

I contacted customer support, they said there was no issue with the account or the purchase of the game , they just tried some troubleshooting like logging in and out of account and restarting Xbox and asked if it’s my 1st Xbox 360 game , I said yes and they said to just wait 24 hrs and if it still isn’t opening they have given me a support case number
Man @tropic jungle I feel so cheated I paid ₹1099 for the game (for comparison RDR2 is currently only ₹1300 on Xbox ms store ) and I get this issue bruh
And the ₹1099 was deducted from my Microsoft account balance

Okay well it sounds like they are helping you out so no one is getting cheated or scammed or bruhhed or anything like that.
They told you to wait since it is a legacy system and gave you a case number so they can continue to help you after the waiting period.
