I plugged in my headphones into the XBOX and whenever I play anything theres no sound at all, ive tried like everything but not sure what to do? (XBOX one)

I plugged the headphones directly into the xbox because I dont have the controller adapter

There is no 3.5mm Jack on an Xbox one to my knowledge. It will also not work via usb unless it’s one of a very small number of USB headsets that explicitly states it works with Xbox.
