Do you mean your controller? (Because there is also a remote control)
Do you have a rechargeable battery pack in it? Are you using AA batteries? Have you changed the batteries?
Oh im sorry I wasn’t specific i have a wired controller
I did and it wont even turn on while being plugged into my xbox and it wont turn on
If it doesn’t turn on, even with a cable, then it might be a dead controller.
That might be the reason because the cable still works its just the controller that doesn’t thank you
Maybe the coils in the controller have corroded?
Is there anyway to fix the controller or is it done for? Like i have to get a new one
There must definitely be a way to fix it. How long have you had the controller?
I want to say i had it for a month or two but we got it from a pawn shop so i dont know how long its was in use and the controller came with the xbox
Hmm if that’s the case then you should probably just get a new controller as most likely the repairs would cost more I assume. I’m not sure though but controllers that have been “loved” before are usually pretty dodge. Take it to a repair store and try and get a price. Anything over $70 and your better getting a new one. Another problem is that repairs are usually done with 3rd party hardware so it could become broken again in the future.
Maybe leave the controller on charge for a few hours or a couple of days and try and see if that works.
Just go around Reddit and see if anyone else has had that issue
Or even update the controller if possible
Ok i will try all of that thank you
If you are American this is a pretty good controller and it’s $25 on sale right now https://electronics.woot.com/offers/8bitdo-ultimate-wired-controller-for-xbox-windows-1
8bitdo very well known
Nah I would get a custom Xbox controller from the customise lab site. I don’t think it’s a good idea to get 3rd party controllers since they could break the actual Xbox sensor plus the Xbox ones are more quality and have a few years warranty.
