Playground Games is not Turn10. Turn10 is the studio that does Motorsport, Playground Games have done the Horizon series, but not Motorsport to my knowledge

If you own it digitally from back in the day it will only ask you to buy the DLC on xbox. If you see the option to "buy" the whole base game again are you sure you're not looking at the PC release? It's not a Play-anywhere title

Well there's a reason why that happened this past gen. In like 2016 Microsoft Studios just shut down most of their studios and had to write off several big budget projects. Fable Legends was a gigantic mess that cost the company $75 million dollars. 4 years wasted on Scalebound with hardly any development progressing due to Platinum spreading their 200 employees thin on so many projects. Rise of the Tomb Raider's lackluster sales due to launching the same day as fallout 4, $75-100 million dollar budget for that game and they don't even own the studio or game, just the distribution rights on Xbox. They also cancelled Obsidians gigantic exclusive a few years before that.

Sony owns the IP aside from Sunset Overdrive 1, its dead and I can't see sony turning it into their franchise as spider-man is going to become the future of Insomniac. the creative vision of Sunset Overdrive works for The Initiative so I imagine whatever they'll be working on will be just as enjoyable if not more than Sunset

Honestly I just wish Xbox would get a Spawn game exclusive right now is a good time with him in MK 11. Plus there's him representing the console for Soulcalibur II. And honestly I think The Coalition should reboot Brute Force. I think could be a good game considering their experience with TPS. I imagine it as Hero Third Person Tactical Squad Based Shooter with RPG elements. You'd have the ship and report to Braten get weapon and armor upgrades and change loadouts for worlds. Along the way travel to side worlds to recruit more Heroes with unique abilities. Even have DLC to recruit Marcus Fenix, Joules, etc

What a shame doesn't see how it could be in good hands. He's probably seeing how bad it was, but not what it COULD be.

TC has already dabbled with Hero gameplay in Gears 5 so they'd be perfect for implementing that into a successor to the game. Updating the camera angle too for modern TPS gameplay, cover mechanics, and even Gears UE had commanding. Take cover, fire at will, and group up I believe. That basic commanding with modernized gameplay could be a hit. I mean I really fail to see why it has to be shafted and a joke.

No, it’s around 40-70 employees atm, but it’s filled with mostly senior staff

A lot of the leg room is going to be done by third party contractors, while directing and game design/art will be done at The Initiative.

Maybe after their first game (it’s going to be perfect dark) is complete will they considering going 100+, then if that’s successful with their next title 200+ then 300+ following title

It’s not necessary to have a gigantic team to make great games.
