@amber umbra So Games with Gold allows you ownership rights to 4 games per month (2 xbox 1, 2 xbox 360). You download and install and you own them.

Game Pass lets you download games to your console that are in the catalog, and play them as much as you want for as long as the game is in Game Pass

xCloud, allows you to STREAM games to a plethora of devices, and is a service included in Game Pass but IIRC is still in testing mode for the most part.

The Win7/8 version DOES NOT grant you the Microsoft Store entitlement, so it would be a version specific to that launcher, nor would you get the ability to play on the console.

I'd personally recommend playing Asylum first. I enjoyed it throughout personally, but it does get better the further in you go.

City and Knight bring in the open city, so going back to Asylum is literally a step back to what is more of a 3D metroidvania style Batman game

It does that when there's a billing issue or your service runs out. I forgot to update a debit card and the game pass expired and everything would load up then exit out from a error or just plain not work.

@hoary moss One of the developers of Cuphead said that it wouldn't be coming to Game Pass (via resetera) but that was about a year ago so it's not out of the equation. Just don't hinge on it happening.

I beat 'The Talos Principle' this week. Honestly: It was an absolute joy to play and definitely one of the best games i've ever played.

I actually played it a few years ago on PS4, but I stopped around halfway through. I thought now that it was on gamepass i'd take the opportunity to learn the ropes again and I'm glad I did.

Like Portal, it occupies your mind in a way that seldom many games can for me. The puzzles have the right balance of being enjoyable and engaging whilst also being strenuous and varied.

Unlike: it relies less on humour, but makes up for that with a really vivid and picturesque environment + after each of the puzzles: you're reward with deep, thought-provoking and philosophical exchanges/wisdom/virtues etc and the delivery of it is 👌 and it compliments the gameplay perfectly.

I couldn't think of a better game to play during these times tbf and felt like I left it a more... developed/a better understanding in how i approach different types of problem solving/rejuvenated
