cloud saves would mainly be used if the game is both on PC and Xbox so you can keep playing where you left off. I believe the Game Pass for PC. they are trying to get alot of PC developers to join so thats why there is a mixture.

Think of game pass like this: You have a disc and you're playing it. At some point someone takes your disc away. A few months later you get a new disc, or you get the disc back. The behavior with saved games, etc, will be the same as that.

if you buy PC gamepass for 1 month = +1 Month of Ultimate

you'd then have the actual month of gamepass you bought = +1 month of ultimate

So if you bought the $1 (or local currency) of Gamepass for PC THEN bought ultimate for $1 (or local currency)

you'd have ultimate until 03/01/2020

doing that is my personal recommendation

Yeah but it's literally just a pound to try it out, he bought sea of thieves when it came out and even then I was saying that normal game pass is 7.99 a month which if you only want to play a few of the big titles is less than buying it but obviously you don't keep them. Certain games don't automatically have access to your Xbox Live profile. That's what dialogs like this are asking permission to access. Usually this happens on PC. On Xbox it's usually only Creator's Club titles, but that's not a hard and fast rule.

I've seen it in several ID games. Never played a Creator's Club title. Hexologic was the most recent one. Looking back at the email notifications I got for these requests, they all seem to be Play Anywhere titles so is probably prompting on Xbox so that the PC side gets the access it needs.

I just rolled back a windows version and it fixed it back to normal, but just save yourself the trouble in advance if you have driver conflicts

I switched to ultimate to see if it would actually switch my game pass and gold over into one thing like it said it would. and it did. plus, being able to game on my pc using my xbox games was worth it. luckily, my computer just needed to update windows 10 and it downloaded fine. was able to stream on my twitch account last night using it. its great for an alternative when I dont wanna be on steam.

@tacit grove I've been replaying Rise of the Tomb Raider on Pc game pass. I've downloaded a fair few games to replay including GOW4 and the ultimate edition. If you like shooters, I couldn't recommend these games high enough. If you're looking for something simple there's games like Fez available as well. I've not tried it yet but I'll be getting around to it soon.

@solid sluice I played it during the Dreamcast era originally but I love it. The first game is an acquired taste (because it was one of the first openworlds) but I love it. It does take some getting use to though, especially if you haven't played much retro/classic adventure

If you can't get into the first one though: I'd just jump into the second. It's more refined mechanically and expansive. And you can watch a movie version of 1 on youtube/a 10min story recap.

I like both personally, as they're quite different: they end up contrasting and complimenting each other.

Since it's on gamepass: I'd just say go for it, I think it's a 7gb download or something, and a super easy 2000g too. First game is around 9hrs I think, and second game is a bit longer at around 11-12hrs. Try the Japanese dub if you don't like the cheesy kung-fu movie English dubbing. And just take your time with it imo>rushing, in piecemeal sessions (if that makes sense). Soundtrack is legendary.

I started giving dying light a second chance recently, I usually can't stand a lot of zombie games but as a fan of mirror's edge-style/parkour games: i'm desperate for anything.

One thing that massively through me off control-wise was the jump being mapped on RB, my muscle memory just allow me to adjust, so i forced it via the xb1 controller app to set to LB instead.

There are gift cards for Game Pass Ultimate, which includes PC Game Pass, but I've not seen any that are only for PC Game Pass.

If they can't purchase it, then I'd recommend they contact Support to figure out what the issue is before doing anything else.

The third-party games tend to have a contract of some kind, so they'll be on Game Pass for 12 months, for example.

#

There may be a varying number of games leave each month, or sometimes none at all. If they are removed it's typically at the end of the month, I believe.

#

You do get some that leave earlier on, though. There are some leaving on the 9th, 10th and 16th this month. It will depend on when the games were added, likely leaving on the same date months later.
