- We have spoken to people at Xbox about this initiative and have their blessing.
- The Von Coins will be ethereum based utility tokens, but will not be tradeable for any fiat currencies. So their only value will be what you can exchange them for on the Von Coin platform. The private beta will not be attached to the coins. The coins will be issued in the public beta in the new year, but all of your accrued coins in the app will be exchanged for the real coins in the public beta.
- From that point you will be able to send and receive coins with friends as you choose.
- You will be able to spend these coins in auctions on the Von Coin app.
- We will never 'sucker' you in to spending money on something. The only thing you need to do to earn coins is get TA verified achievements.
- The products you will bid for with your Von Coins will be provided by sponsors. Our pitch to sponsors is simple - we have a bunch of committed gamers who we can prove love playing video games. Why not build awareness of your product/ game/ app by providing this audience with real products they value. In return you get to promote your new release to the audience.
- We want to create a model that works for both ends. You the gamer get rewarded for your time and attention and the sponsors get the attention they want from you.
- To make sure that people don't get crazy numbers of TA Score and coins when games come out there is a 14 day delay on your locked in score. So 14 days after you do the achievement we pull the balanced out TA score and exchange that for Von Coins. The reason we teamed up with Rich and the guys and TA is they are much smarter than us when it comes to achievements, so we've been working closely with them to build a system that is fair and consistent for the issuing of coins.

We need more games with achievement lists like Mass Effect Andromeda. For all the things that game did wrong, the achievement list was not one of them. Almost all of the achievements had two methods to unlock, with one from the single player campaign and one from multiplayer. I think there was just one achievement that had to be done in multiplayer, which was a fairly simple one for playing a few matches.
I'd like to see more games follow this example.

Unless you intend to buy a bunch of Kinect games, it's not really worth putting an original XB1 over an S in order to get Kinect. It's pretty much dead at this point.
You can also plug in any USB web cam into the Xbox and use that in place of a Kinect.

I've completed a lot of Neogeo games. Mostly the fighting games. Some are a bit misleading, especially when they have a low TA ratio. High-score mode and Caravan mode are the hardest. There's helpful guides on TA. Sometimes you just have to know what character to pick and what moves to use.

Indies for the most part have easy achievements, but it depends on the developer. Klei Entertainment for example hate achievements. They're the developers behind Don't Starve. They've came out and said they hate the concept of it, but they were force to if they wanted their game to sell on Xbox and PS.

Well, I've wasted a bunch of time trying to get the R achievement in Construction Sim. There's one for driving 10km and I was around 60-something % done. For ages it got stuck at 76% and now it's stuck again at 81% no matter how much I drive. Both on the achievement tracker and in the in-game stats.

Earlier in the year I set myself a goal of reaching 400K gamerscore by the end of 2018. Right now I'm sitting at 389,543 with two weeks to go - but, a week of that I'll be in Florida on holiday for Christmas, which cuts down my gaming time.

I've had to quit out and reload LEGO DC Super Villains a bunch of times because things fail to load or events fail to trigger properly. 430GS for the first campaign playthrough of Resi 2. That's not too bad at all.
Second playthrough will get less gemerscore as I've already got most of the misc achievements, but should get up to 150 or 170 from it.

Yep, as long as RNGesus is on your side. I had some trouble getting the house to show up for the one chest achievement at the end. Had to create 5 different worlds. Still finished in 39 minutes

Obviously I can't begin to compete with you guys due to college but this is better than what I usually do. I also rarely complete games because I don't have time to go thru and get every achievement

Some months I don't care about gamerscore and I instead strive for more completions than games started, because I've always been a completionist since the NES days
just depends on what goals I set for myself for the month!

Well I actually started back up on the 25th, but generally I don't aim to complete everything. I swear, every game I play doesn't have achievements I could easily complete after all the easy ones
Also I would change my gamertag, but I have more important things to buy rather than shell out $10

I have 3 of the LASO playlists completed, but that's from when you could get a checkpoint in the final mission, and 2 of them are just cutscenes
I used to play a lot of Halo 1 in college, so I did actually complete the final mission for that

The only problem with this event is that it's hard to aim for a specific letter as your guess.
If I want to guess an 'E', but I earn a T and an F on the way to the E, those other letters also count as guesses and could be wrong.
It would be good if it would count your last achievement at the time of your scan, but I guess that eliminates non-Pro users.
