[2;36mQuick Recap[0m[2;36m[0m
The playstyle of Resto Druid remains largely unchanged, with the core playstyle still involving setting up ramp and then taking advantage of it with regrowth after damage has landed. If you enjoyed Resto Druid in The War Within, you can expect to continue to enjoy it in Midnight.
- Reduced the number of buffs we can apply to make raid frames easier to parse.
- Mastery is much more effective per HoT due to the reduction in buffs.
- Wild Growth and Rejuv are stronger in Midnight than TWW.
- Caster DPS got buffed slightly but is still behind cat DPS. Healer DPS is so low that the impact of this choice matters very little compared to optimizing your healing done.
- Several cooldowns and active abilities were removed or combined with others (see below for more details).

Combined/Simplified:
- Tranquility - Flourish's hot extension has been baked into Tranquility and is a longer duration, but does not increase tick rate. Tranquility no longer applies a stacking hot, but its healing is much stronger to compensate.
Note: If talented into Cenarius' Guidance, Convoke has a chance to cast a mini-Tranquility now instead of Flourish. If talented into Flourish, this Tranquility will include a mini-Flourish.
- Grove Guardians now drop automatically when casting Swiftmend or Wildgrowth.
- Swiftmend interactions have been simplified. Soul of the Forest now only increases the healing of your next Rejuv or Regrowth (no Wild Growth). Power of the Archdruid now also procs off of Swiftmend, causing your next Rejuv or Regrowth cast to apply to 2 additional allies.
- Heart of the Wild now casts a spec-specific spell instead of applying a long duration buff. To compensate, the CD has been reduced to 2 minutes.
- Photosythesis now only increases the bloom chance of Lifebloom on the target, even if Lifebloom is placed on yourself (no more increase to tick rate of hots).
Removed:
- Wildwood Roots (reduced cast time for regrowth per rejuv active) has been removed, reducing the speed we are able to spam-turret regrowths after our ramp.
- The talent allowing two Lifeblooms has been removed.
- Skull Bash (interrupt) has been removed.
- Renewal (self heal) has been removed.
- Spring Blossoms, Cenarion Ward, and Cultivation heal over time effects have been removed.
- Overgrowth and Invigorate (active buttons, albeit never-to-rarely used) have been removed.

- Nature's Bounty - Regrowth heals all other allies with Regrowth on them for 20% of its healing. Adds an interesting cleave to Regrowth casts, post-ramp.
- Lifetreading - Efflorescence will automatically apply under the feet of your Lifebloom target, and will move every few seconds with them. Simplifies Efflo upkeep and reduces mana spend, assuming you have a good Lifebloom+Efflo target.
