#classic

As a healer, mana stats are either top tier (if you are oom before the end of the fight without overhealing) or shit tier (if you can't oom yourself)
But on classic, seems like mp5 is trash everytime
I have a question about healing gear, I am sooo confused
Everywhere I go, it says that BIS helmets are either Cassandra Grace (because +44 healing) or the Green Lens of Healing for engineers (because +55 healing)
but when I go to Auction House, I saw a green helmet with +57 healing, Bonecaster Crown
and after googling, I couldn't find a single post recommending getting the green gear on me, even though it theoretically gives more healing
... what am I missing ? Is everyone sleeping on the gear guides, or is there something special which makes green items worse than they seem to be ?
Cassandra's Grace also has +7 Stam and +9 Spirit. I like to think of this like +16 "OtherStats". I
I'm not 100% sure, but I'm guessing that mathematically that +7 Stam and +9 Spirit are worth more than the extra +13 healing spells from the green item.
the extra healing is worth more
people just tend to leave out boe greens in guides for more targetable items
@sturdy otter @rapid plover
@karmic juniper thanks, that makes sense now
hello everyone 😄 i have a question, some of you might laugh..
ive seen plenty of videos on youtube with guides and all sorts around druids
and i have noticed many if not all of them have more than one version of healing skills on their action bars
now i do know that healing touch rank4 is the most efficient healing skill in game
but testing it at 49 lvl i see very little benefit from it
could somebody explain please which spells this apply to and or which spells and ranks should there be on the action bars?
bear in mind im not in healing spec, im a bear therefore i dont have any healing items or talents (yet)
Downranking is mostly effizient with +healing
i figured that would be the case, which spells does this apply for? other than healing touch
and which ranks should there be on the bars? most of the times, i know people tend to pick different ones
ive seen some footage of a druid doing BGs and he had maybe 5 or 6 healing touches on his bars and 3 regrowths, that made me come here and ask, very curious as i want to respec to healing after i hit 60 and this will be bugging me
thanks for any info btw
i do also understand that depending on player preference and playstyle some of them might be macros for cast sequence and other forms of strategies
whats the baseline?
If you dont have the Mana to use highest Rank you can use a lower one
For example
Or depends how much HP the target is down
And no good Players uses castsequence
maybe macros
There’s probably a lot of preference into it but generally you always want max rank on your bar (great with Natures Swiftness). After that you’ll typically have Rank 4 if you have enough +healing (around 200. Probably want Rank 5 if you have lower +healing). Then usually you’ll want Rank 3 as well since it has reduced cast time.
So my alt druid just dinged 60, Im gonna use him mostly for solo play, farming herbs, but with some dungeon runs (mainly as tank but also dps) to gear him up and tank an alt run in MC or two. For these reasons im going with the a more hybrid tank specc, so my QoL outside bear form increases. I have two points I could move around, should they be kept in Shred as they are now or moved in to 5/5 Feral aggression? Or skip feral aggression over Natural shapeshifter?
Thinking of moving two points away from shred and into Feral aggression
Reasoning being I wont be offtanking that much in the alt raids, and shred seems useless for solo play and as a bear tank in dungeons. Only real area of use is when I do OT or join as dps in a dungeon. Thought on what outweighs what?
well, thorns? or you could put points into cheaper shapeshifting, both in balance tree
Definitely cheaper shapeshifting over thorns
Moving two points of shred or feral aggression to Shapeshifter?
And/or is shreding only worth it if you are able to powershift (with natural shapeshifter)?
for dungeons thorns can really help with aoe aggro, so if you find urself tanking them frequently consider it. For herbs and solo open world stuff you dont need anything and if you are gonna tank MC i guess you could even go for extra armor talent?
Powershift just allows you to generate more energy, it doesnt change the dps or dpe of your abilities
Getting 2/2 improved shred and being able to use shred is more dps than claw, whether you're powershifting or not
If you're gonna play cat mostly solo, dont take 2/2 shred as you'll never use shred solo. But if you're on a pvp server, you'll miss a lot of damage in pvp without shred
@ocean kernel Didnt even take the pvp aspect in to consideration and I'm big in to pvp. 2/2 shred feels 100% necessary now. Thanks.
anyone noticed how leader of the pack doesnt return when you powershift sometimes?
@lone bear yes you need a macro and you can’t spam it or it bugs out
I can help w a macro
When I get home
would i need to cancel lotp first?
Yea essentially
Sec
#showtooltip Cat Form
/cancelaura leader of the pack
/cancelaura Predatory Strikes
/cancelform [noform:3]
/cast [form:3] Cat Form
/cast [noform:3] !Cat Form
Don’t spam it just hit it one time only and lotp will come back
powershifting macro
Both
Theoretically is 15% mana regen whole casting more important or 10% in addition to getting insect swarm?
Well one is a damage spell and the other is Mana Regen
If you only care about healing then the Mana Regen is better
Hello druids ! I'm a new classic player, rolled bear tank currently level 41 , this morning I cam across a hybrid feral/resto talent build i was interested in since I need to respec anyways , however my question is the following: how can I place my talents points in a way that will let me heal and tank instances ? Also after each level up what tree should I do ? Thanks for any answers, I'm currently logged on not having a clue what to do about this lol
O/30/21 is what you want
I would just throw the first 30 pts in feral which will let you tank or heal. You just need different gear
highly disagree with 0/30/21 for leveling you give up 3% crit from leader of the pack for (most of the levels) practically nothing
its not like at 60 where you trade leader for natures swiftness
I mean if you don't want to Respec again
I'd rather save the gold
I would never run 31/20 at 60
I guess if you dont want to, but you probably would make more gold by speccing proper leveling and just respeccing
cause you are quite a bit faster
with leader and natural weapons(was that the name?)
I think so
10% more damage
But yeah you're propably right. I forgot he's not 60
Or didn't take into account
31/20 but I would Respec for NS at 60 if you go that route
I honestly would just go 11+x/31/y
and collect heal gear
really dont need points in resto to heal, just gotta collect the gear
Having slow healing touch is pretty annoying
Especially once he gets in the 50s and wants to heal brd etc
Yea, my experience with healing as Feral (I think I was x/31/5?) at 50+ made it necessary to have a strong tank
and dps that didn't pull aggro lol
But it's also possible that I'm bad /shrug
Hey druids is anyone around for a few questions please
Just ask your question and i'm sure someone will answer when they can
Warsong Gulch and Alterac Valley will open in WoW Classic simultaneously on all realms the week of December 10. At the same time, Elemental Invasions will occur in Kalimdor, with Blazing, Thundering, Watery, and Whirling Invaders appearing in Un’goro Crater, Azshara, Winter...
Anyone want to play im new to WoW and WoW classic
Do healer druids usually keep faerie fire/ moonfire up during pulls ?
Depends on the group for me. I’ll do ff on most targets, but I don’t usually spend the mana on mf
wtb /use healing potion while in bear form ... /weep
of all the things i had forgotten about Vanilla, not being able to be as self-sufficient or helpful to the healers by using pots or rejuv ... completely dependent on the healer when tanking a group of 5-6 .. and when leveling, that healer doesn't always have the best gear so that mana pool is a rather ... shall we call it shallow, to be kind ?!!!
Healing pot macro works pretty great in bear
if you actively tank 5-6 mobs you are completly dependend as any tank on the healer
is this the best place to get classic information
/agreed @noble forge especially at lower levels!!
post the health pot macro
hi, is there an addon that can show me other druids rejuvenation targets on raid?
I know grid has a buff tracker that will show if a target has a rejuv in general but I don't personally know of any add-ons that track who casted said rejuv
#showtooltip Superior Healing Potion
/cancelform
/use Superior Healing Potion
/cast Dire Bear Form
/cast Bear Form
I recommend reading the notes about it
@viral coyote nice link, I can copy paste all macros and stop being lazy
@viral coyote that is a great link, thank you! quality of life already ++ !
Hey peeps, I was just looking up on the discussion about a hybrid spec for levelling/tanking/healing and I'd kindly like to ask what advice anyone had for the MT bear who is now stepping back to OT and heal (when needed) now that the warriors in their guild are very geared. Is there any definitive literature or builds floating around that I can check out? I know of a lot of the private server heroes but i thought id ask here too, thanks! p.s. i'm not very interested in pvp.
Id imagine you would just grab the same ish talents as hotw resto tailored more toward bear @sullen python
@tame crow Oke thanks for the advice
lvl 55 kitty working on getting to 60 with a quesiton that I would have thought googlefoo would have answered, but I apparently wasn't very good. I found an offhand with agil on it. The Lapidis Tankard of Tidesippe has 15 agil, 5 int, and 16 spirit. There are some good main hand weps such as Widowmaker, that it could be paired with for example. However, when I equip the Tankard, while I see the boost to stats for Int, and spirit, instead of adding 15 agil to my current total of 144, it subtracts the 15 agil from my current 144. Trying to understand why.
and so it is..... Helps to pay attention to the small things. Thank you.
I can't tell you how many times I looked at that and didn't see it was a "-". First time I've seen negative stats on a piece.
do you guys think 1% haste is better for aggro than 8str/8agi ?
I am powerleveling a 38 druid with a 60 priest - is it faster to spec into bear talents and stay in bear form 100%, or cat form?
so aoe pulling with swipe vs bleeding targets or just blasting down one at a time
If you're power leveling probably doesn't matter too much. I'd probably go full balance to hit moonkin and give the priest 3% spell crit.
@solid kiln the fastest improvement to speed for being power-leveled is deceivingly not actually cat vs. bear form ... it's mundanely bag space! Make sure you have Mooncloth bags. That way you cut down on the unnecessary back-and-forths to quest givers (and vendors). Less noticeable if you are dungeon clearing to level (doesn't sound like you are), and more noticeable if you are questing.
FYI - by power leveling, I mean my priest is outside of the group keeping renew on the druid, tossing a heal every now and then. yeah i have a couple of mooncloth bags, but realistically i don't bother looting everything
Are people using wowhead bis list for classic resto druid? Or does anyone have a better resource?
so like does my weapon skill translate to bear form in terms of to hit
@peak cape depends if you lick the spicy ranch
weapon skill doesn't matter in shapeshift @peak cape
@peak cape, you can have Weapon Skill 2-handed Hammer at 1 and it will not affect any form other than night elf / tauren / race humanoid form. Nor does the damage of the weapon. The weapon basically becomes a stat stick (that is, if there is +2 stamina on a 50dps weapon and there is +1 stamina on a 100 dps weapon, the +2 stamina 50 dps weapon is better).
I may be wrong however I believe that the speed of the weapon may be a factor. If someone has that answer, please let us know, I'll test that tonight. I may be mixing my factoids however I think that the weapon speed sets your swing timer speed.
@rough schooner not yet, in classic we had a 1sec? 2sec? default swing timer
@rough schooner nah speed shouldn't matter at all
You get the attack speed of your form
But that can be reduced with pummeler/iron counterweight/enchants etc
Ok, confirmed: In cat form, we have an unmodified base attack speed of 1 second, which of course sets our swing timer to 1 second. (For those that care/curious: Bear form is 2.50, and travel form is 2.0, and aquatic form is 2.0).
DPS of the weapon has no effect. Damage range (specifically, the top of the range) has no effect.
Weapons are merely stat sticks.
anyone online?
While leveling 1-31, our dps is exactly too high for rupture to be worth spending energy on and exactly too low to kill a mob before it heals itself - making rupture on self-healing mobs worth the energy expense ... Ferocious Bite is a godsend .. just a shame we don’t get it early on like rogue’s Eviscerate!
that makes no sense @rough schooner
with rupture you mean rip, im aware but the part where healing mobs, how is that relevant? what matters is how many ticks the mob survives
which means you have to compare rip to claw (and rake)
and see how many ticks you need to get for it to be worth (and taking energy into account
considering multitarget/healing makes it a bit more complicated too
Also our dps can be improved by 1 weapon only, the manual crowd pumeller
Outside of the usual stat stick stuff oc
Atiesh is still stat stick
true
Crowd pum has a on use attack speed buff
Isnt the travel form the only one that actually use our wep dmg and speed ?
(Not that it is particularly relevant as who gives a F about travel form dmg
)
What is the best spec to be in classic as druid. I am going as tank atm and its boring lol
I'm partial to 30/0/21 - good mix, can heal dungeons/raids just fine and can be really hard to kill in pvp, fastest leveling is full on feral kitty but that won't get a lot of raid spots and honestly isn't fun in pvp... you just end up being a worse rogue.
quite common is also 0/30/21
as an allrounder
for lvl 60 that is
for leveling I'd personally always recommend 31 feral and could decide from there if you wanna go full damage/tank or more healing orientated
unless you almost purely level in dungeon/leveling groups
How do you guys hold aggro on those big undead packs in strat? The dps get aggro immediately and then im rage starved
try to keep rage between pulls and tell dps to cool it for a few seconds on each pull
Question about Resto Druid in Classic;
As i understand in there's 3 viable ways to go as a Resto Druid in Classic;
- Stack Healing Power and use very low rank heals (mostly Healing Touch rank 3-ish), usually combined with a combination between Resto and Balance talents. (Raid Healer?)
- Also go for Int/Stam/Spirit/MP5 (set gear for example), center your talents around Regrowth and use it a lot (with Nature's Grace from the Balance tree?). (Tank Healer?)
- Same as 2, except you go into the Feral Tree to pick up Heart of the Wild. (??)
Now I'm going for Option 1, but I'm wondering what the playstyle is for Option 3.
As I understand, its biggest benefit is the hybrid options you get for Cat/Bear stuff from the Feral Tree. I don't know what spells and ranks you would focus on most though and what your role in raiding would be.
Also; if any of the stuff I've said above is incorrect, inaccurate, etc. I'd love to hear that too.
the HotW is just giving yourself as much int as possible for the first few phases on classic
In your opinion what specs and talents, also gear is the best for pvp rn.
Hey druids ! Sorry to bother you all , I just came across some nice gear upgrades through dungeons and wanted to ask which are the better enchants at my level? Will I benefit more by just slapping rugged kits which would give me 160 extra armor+ 50 armor if I use that enchant on my cloak? Or do I have better options stat wise ? Thank you , oops , forgot to say I'm a bear tank , my bad lol
I'm also level 46
Dam sorry lol
If anyone has an answer for me pls tag me thanks !
I wouldnt' recommend any actual enchants until 60. Armor kits are dope at your level though
@waxen ocean
@flint valley I like heart/ns for pvp, but 19/11/21 is dope af. you just stack stam and intel either way
19/11/21 is higher damage, but Heart/ns is more flexible in general
I prefer 8/11/32, pvp healing without swiftmend is pretty bad.
Also I don't understand the people who pvp as 0/30/21 and stack only int gear. Seems like a complete waste of a spec if you're not running a hybrid gear set.
So I'm thinking of joining Classic and maining the class I was when I first started the game, A Druid. Is it worth it? I'll be looking to raid if I hit 60 and I wanna know if any guilds will want a Druid
Depends on what you're aiming to do in classic. Anything is viable, anything's been run through the numbers. If you don't wanna speedrun PvE content, just go whatever.
Druids are super versatile. Good cleave tanking, good healing, good feral dps if you learn to powershift properly
While I agree that anything is viable, in my experience finding like-minded guilds that are regularly clearing end game content is challenging. Just being realistic, if you want to raid as a cat Druid you can do it but you will need to invest some time finding a guild that doesn't mind and you'll need to work a little harder than say a rogue would to keep your spot
Yeah most raids are willing to take 1 feral druid, so hard to find a spot.
Some raids don't even want 1 :(
I got lucky and was like the 4th member in my guild and basically became the guild feral.
If you're resto it should be fairly easy to find a raid spot
Can anyone tell me if the 10% from moonfury scale before or after +spelldamage is applied? Finding a lot of conflicting info for classic on this.
I'm pretty sure the Restoration talent for increased healing is calculated before +healing so it's widely considered a mediocre talent. Would stand to reason that damage is the same
someone play feral in classic (PvE or PvP) ?? or i'm alone
plenty of ferals on my server... one per guild to be precise 🙂 i am one of them
Many feral kitties
Is there a consensus on how many (and which) pieces of T2 a resto druid wants vs. better offset pieces? Does it change if someone is Swiftmend vs. Nature's Grace build?
Which is recommend Druid leveling guide such like wowhead or icy-vein?
what is a druid flag running build for wsg?
Natural shapeshifter/feral charge/swiftmend build e.g. 8/12/31
Does your actual weapon skill I.e. staves affect your hit in bear form in classic?
No.
Is there actual validity to the allusion that bear tanks are not able to tank some fights? (Impakt on Icy Veins states " There are some fights that Druids simply cannot realistically tank on..." in the 'Tank Rankings' article.) Which fights can druids not tank?
(Was warrior tank in Vanilla and through BC, however started druid tanking in BC and ever since.)
(So in Classic, now, reading that there are fights that I allegedly cannot tank ... I am curious as to which ones, if that is a correct statement at all.)
I believe fights where the boss enrages
Are hard on druids
Warriors not being able to be crit + having cooldowns makes those fights easier
I imagine an enraged boss critting a druid is gonna do some nasty damage.
Druids are bad for fights with enrages, because they don't have any cooldowns whereas warriors have last stand & shield wall
They're also bad on fights with Fears, but you can just run more fear wards or tremor totems for those
So ... you’re saying dps needs to kill the boss before he hits enrage timer! 😜
(and understood about crit and lack of CDs)
Maexanna or however you call it in naxx when she webs everyone, druid will probbaly die there i think
not enrage timer
many bosses enrage on low hp
like chromag, princess huhuran
maexanna is a huge point because she can enrage & stun the raid for 10s & just beat on the tank, you REALLY need shield wall for that kinda thing
regen not work?
Wont keep you alive vs an enraged boss when everyone is stunned, but could just make a warrior tank that one
regen kinda sucks
compared to 75% DR for 15 seconds & 30% max hp, 4k hp over 10 seconds at the cost of your entire rage bar isn't even comparable
just dispel enrage
any must haves from AV rep for a druid? not fully feral, just want to survive and be annoying
Offhand for healing or damage
And the dps/tank ring
Also unstoppable Force might be okay for when you're doing dungeons/pvping. It has decent stats.
cool
Hi, anyone have a WA for Pounce stun that is working?
Could someone explain to me why for feral DPS the "Counterattack Lodestone" is presumably better than HoJ?
prolly gotta say where you gete thee presumably from
because that seems hard to believe
The WoWhead guide lists it that way
I personally don't see how 2AP beats 2% chance to land an extra autoattack
ye cant see that happen and actually checked some druids literally no onee used that
Wasn't it something to do with some bug that feral doesn't proc extra attacks?
Vaguely I remember such, or I dreamt it
It should be the case that weapon procs don't work for ferals
But I seem to be hearing conflicting things about trinkets
HoJ states "on melee hit" so I'd wager it does work in bear/cat but that's more feelycraft than anything
weapon procs dont work because you dont hit with a weapon
yes HoJ works both in bear and cat for me
if only i didnt sell my mark of the chosen way back then 😦
Hello everyone we have discussion in our raid about who would get the Sulfuras, Hand von Ragnaros between retri or druid tank. For whom is the item better?
Ret
Not even sure why you are even considering feral
Unless your guild just hands it out as a meme, in that case boomkin
I don´t get it as well. Our tank says because of 5 fire dmg boni. And that there is another better item for retri, so that retri wouldn´t use it in raid.
i think ret is one of the few specs that the hammer is actually really good for
but it's def better for them over feral
it sounds like the tank just really wants the legendary lmao
Yep, if threat is the issue for the bear he should farm more pummlers
thanks all for the Info
sulf doesnt have armour does it?
12 str 12 stamina 30 fire resist
so wardens is better because armour
guess depends if you talk about threat or survivability but ye could just use pummelers or othere stuff with more str
i mean honestly sulfuras should go to who puts the most work into the guild
but if you're going to give it to the most viable person, it's the ret pally or shaman i believe
sulfuras wont proc in bear form and you wont get the damage from it in bear form, its pretty useless for druids
the weapon situation for ferals in classic is so insanely boring.
Hi,
I just became lvl 60 and need to decide on how to skill my druid for the next months.
Background:
- Very good solo experience
- I never played dungeons or raids
- I recently joined a guild, which starts now to raid MC and Ony
Objectives I have for the next months:
- farm BiS items in Dungeons
- become a reliable team player in dungeons
- keep rotations as simple as possible to avoid mistakes (and wipes)
- Play tank if my group accepts the risk I am my become responsible for a wipe
- Play cat for more important dungeons or I they need someone to complete the raid team
Objectives I dont have yet:
- maxout dps
- PvP or BG
- Play Heal or Moonkin (hate mana drink stops)
So basically I was looking for a skill setup where the focus is rather on simplicity (=less error prone) than on maxing out e.g. dps.
Feral Combat is the one I had to thinks about most:
Feral instinct (5) = as beginner tank every way to increase agro is mandatory
Brutal impact(0) = for experts this gives some nice options but for me this would increase complexity
Feline Swiftness(0) = was helpfull during leveling but most of the dungeons are inside where this cannot be used.
Feral Charge(1) = not mandatory but I really like the quick move. Could also be helpful to move faster to the heal when he gets agro
Improved Shred(2) = needed for my cat to increase dps
Blood Fenzy(0) = typically needed for more dps. But increases the complexity and currently I do not always recognize (yet) that I have sufficient combo points to fire them
Primal Fury(1 of 2) = espically as a new tank I spend Rage not always very optimal. So every additional rage helps.
Savage Fury(0) = Typically used to increase dps but I need the points to optimize aggro and rage
Faerie Fire Feral (1) = So I can use it during combat w/o shapeshifting
Leader of the Pack(1) = always appreciated by the team
The only half way complex Thing is powershifting
Just commit to tanking. Druid tanks are extremely effective in dungeons. I never considered myself a great player but I always got compliments from party members while gearing for raids. I'd remove the powershifting talents and invest them more into feral like the improved maul near the bottom
if its anything like my busy server, tanks are always needed. always.
I am used to powershifting already during leveling. I put some macros on my mouse SW to support that. And it makes fun
For a Hybrid specc i'd also drop Things Like think hide for dunheons
You can Powershift properly but Not See your Combo Points?
ive built a full resto and spellpower set from tanking haha.
i tried this a few weeks ago, is decent still for dungeons and OT in raid. mind you i still kept LoTP because everyone loves it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BirMIEA1oVI
A follow-up to my AQ40 feral/resto hybrid video, explaining the talent spec in greater detail.
This spec in action (AQ40): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG5P71m6D4g&t=19s
Shedothedruid's channel (check it out for cat DPS content): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLNBNhIA...
(so no swiftness)
Its a matter of experience. And as cat a constantly look at my energy. During my first dungeons I was struggling so much that the combo points went out of my mind. I was recently responsible for a wipe where 3 members lost 2 hours of a pre-quest because I was not fast enough to save the heal. So I want to become a good tank but I dont want to risk my image in the guild more
That seems to be an experience issue Not Talents tho
I would say experience 80% and Skills 20% (like the camera is only 20% of the picture)
Im still confused about the Combo Points but anyway i think you Miss important bear and important Cat talents
man tanking can be so brutal. your party will blame you for everything. it can be a very thankless job
if you learn to be a good bear, you'll be invaluable to your guild 🙂
Entenzwerg: So what would you change then?
Depends what you want to do more but Maul dmg and extra rage are both quite nice
And the extra cp Thing is great for cat
https://classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/druid/014005001-5050501303222151-05 been good to me. using the extra cp has been excellent for farming and getting ganked
Id try to Focus a Bit more If you wanna Go Cat or bear Things Like think hide arent the Most important
Hide increases the agro, which as a beginner really need. With more expierince this would be indeed the talent I would reduce and invest more into dps
yea you can lose a few points in that
And dps is also threat
So dps and Aggro is the Same thing
Dps Just Kills stuff faster
armor is a teency bit over rated
Ahh you mean Thick Hide. True this gives only Armor. So how much armor would you decrease and where would you put it instead?
Id possibly think of dropping Powershift talents too in Dungeons they Seem less useful and Close to useless as bear
But for PvP they ofc are insane too
Powershifting is something I really like to play even if it is not the most efficient. But it makes fun
I already have quite good armor equip so reducing there would really be an option
I Just cant See that its worth to lose Combo Points/ that much rage
And the Maul dmg is quite huge too
I see your point with the combo points. But not die is more important for me than having more dps. I have never seen someone blaiming a cat for poor dps. But a dead tank is not appreciated.
Going full bear is ofc fine too
What is true, that most of the fights in dungeons are quite short and with little groups/adds. So indeed powershifting is more usefull in long boss fights - right?
Dont think so no
Marginally i guess because of Base Energy
But you Always need to time your shifts so you dont lose Ticks anyway
What about this one:
I removed "Natural ShapeShifter" and moved the 3 points into Cat/Bear Talents:
Id prolly Put 2 Points from thick hide into the Maul talent
Its 20% Maul dmg iirc its big
Ye this seems Solid imo AS a Hybrid Cat bear
Cool and many thanks
has the pummler drop rate been messed with? 15 attempts; only two drops #desperatelyunlucky
is the pvp gear good for druids? I need to decide whether to focus on my druid or priest
Im brand new to wow so i started classic for an easier time to just understand things what should i put my talent point into for leveling?
Is there a bear tank pre-raid bis list?
Do we want to prioritize threat gear or high armor etc? Isn’t being hit capped like the most important thing?
I had a blast going for leader of the pack first then getting omen of clarity. Having feline celerity early is a huge improvement to leveling speed
But you could grab furor right after celerity since leader of the pack isnt that much impactful to leveling speed. Esp if there is a lot of pvp action on your serv as furor is a mandatory pvp talent
Sorry it’s not celerity but swiftness
@alpine kayak i believe there is a list on wowhead.
As for the threat gear vs mitigation gear, it all depends on the average gear of your raid
If you start gearing and go full threat, your healers will hate you. If you go full mitigation your dps will hate you
Get enough armor/other mitigation to the point your healers are comfortable and you dont get your ass destroyed and then go full threat
Word I was figuring something like that just wanted to make sure thanks!
pretty sure leader of the pack is the strongest single point for feral
outsidee feline swiftness early on
nah, the points that double your combo points on crits
hey everyone, i gotta couple questiosn regarding pure bear tanking for classic (Im a levelign bear atm)
dont ask to ask, just ask:)
@noble forge for dps it’s strong, but it has way less impact than omen of clarity or furor when leveling.
(I was only talking leveling there)
Hey y’all! Hope this is the right place for this. My guild ([Damage Dojo] Whitemane-US) has a serious Druid shortage and is looking for more. We currently have 1 bear tank, 1 feral/bear, and 1 Starchicken. We mostly need resto druids but we have plenty of healers so I’m sure any Druid can find a place! If you’re interested feel free to DM me and if this isn’t the place for recruitment I pray for the mercy of the Mods.
@ocean kernel forgot about that ping, I doubt it maybe compared to Omen, however for Omen you have to spend 11 points (I guess the extra dmg ones are at least partly useful) but if you want to get omen asap may aswell not skill heart which im willing to bet is quite a bit worse compared to leader, I highly doubt 1 furor point beats one leader of the pack
So, I'm wondering if anyone here has run any sims or numbers on best stats at the raid level. It seems most BiS lists all agree on a lot of the same gear and that +heal>mp5>spirit>int>crit. Has anyone found that not to be the case? I know some priests in my guild have said they were misled, and after stacking int were healing better than stacking +heal. I'm wondering if because of the HoTs +heal is actually better for resto druids. Can anyone weigh in on that?
bis lists even in classic are iffy at best, especially for healers
think about int vs mp/5 or spirit
this very very much depends on fight duration for example
you cannot answer this without knowing the fightduration
similar with +heal compared to the mana stats if you look at the fight durations in molten core above 1 minute isnt too common so mana doesnt really matter too much
@noble forge Agreed. As I'm thinking about BWL and beyond, obviously fight duration will increase, so mp5 will be a better option overall. In these longer fights, then, what are your thoughts on +heal vs int (assuming you're stacking mp5 first)
int is the same as mp5
(basically)
you could figure that out by checking fight duration and see how much mana you actualy get with mp5
assuming you only care about bosses, could give some argument to reduce downtimes with more mp5
i realized at level 56 that omen of clarity was a buff I needed to cast
thought it was a passive

unlucky
So any tricks for a leveling feral? Easier to level vs boomkin?
Easier and faster, no downtime
It is a passive around cataclysm
Cast in vanilla and tbc, passive in wotlk iirc.
You live and you learn.
Hello druids ! I hope you had a jolly holiday period ! I have question pls , cloak of warding or stone shield cloak? For bear tank
I already have +32 defense with warden staff, nagelring and medallion of grand marshall morris
I also have a trinket that gives + defense
if you possess it, I'm sure cloak of warding is superior. can't go wrong with more defense and more armor.
Are there any items/enchants that can be bought, that makes the leveling easier/faster? Like Rogues can buy weps and enchant them with fiery wep ?
depends on what you're looking to do, but not really. if you do skin/lw then you can boost your armour. wolfshead gives rage/energy on shifting which is great when paired with furor. else just gotta get gear as it comes, anything youd buy (apart from wolfshead) is just gonna be replaced
wolfshead kinda sucks while leveling
dont have the mana to use it realisitcally mid combat
wowanalyzer doesnt work for classic right?
true on wolfshead but its there to use
In early levels, should I be using claw or shred when behind? It seems like claw does more consistent damage because of lower energy cost
Until improved you use claw
wait real shit
i dont have imp shred
should i just always be clawing
i'm lvl 49 I believe
Yep
Should I go deep feral or Veng Hybrid?
Hey ya’ll, would feral be my best bet for leveling AND wpvp while leveling? Would there be value in going Resto until NS, then feral?
Hello fellow druids
I am working on a new spec and I'd like to know if anyone knows how Omen of Clarity works
There are numerous anecdotes on the internet, but I couldn't find anything that is A: reliable and B: up to date
So my questions are..
- How often does Omen of Clarity proc? Is it dependent on the weapon speed?
- Do the spells cast with this activate the 5min rule?
- Is it a buff or a weapon enchant (like shamans have)?
Thanks in advance!
- it's 2ppm, so base weapon speed does not affect it
- no, assuming you mean 5 second rule. You do not spend mana
- It is a buff
great, thanks! and yes, I meant the 5sec rule 😄
Your attack speed should affect the proc rate as it’s ppm - however in forms idk if that can change or if it’s fixed in classic (haste?)
It’s still ppm on live
Does anyone have a good pawn string for feral druid?
for classic?
For Classic / CAT I use this one in pawn:
And this for TANK:
The stat weighting comes from https://classic.wowhead.com/items items database.
I dont know the reasons why the wowhead team is using those weights but for me its a good benchmark.
In 90% of the cases I follow their recommendation.
Overall it looks ok but I feel the armor with a weight of only 2 surprised me a little bit.
Especially compared to Stamina with 16.
I finally decided to go with a Feral DPS build.
Currently I am checking which talents to go for.
In several guides and youtube videos I can see, that "Feral Charge" is selected even for Feral DPS.
But this can only be used in Bear form.
So any idea why this Bear Talent is recommended even if you are playing a Cat DD?
Thats Horde but pawn Strings even in Classic will Be iffy
And 0 value for strength on
seems Strange
@plain zinc what Else would you get?
And you are a feral Druid Not pure cat
You can still Go bear and Interrupt If needed or gapclose at Times
You could maybe Go 1/3 Imp thorns instead
Good morning friends - i have a macro question
is travel form considered something other than a form for macro purposes?
This macro will work for bear to go to cat - will not work for seal or travel form
#showtooltip
/cast [nostance:3]Cat Form;[nostealth,nocombat]Prowl;[stance:3]Claw
/use 13
/use 14
/startattack [combat]
also why does this work for power shifting:
#showtooltip
/cancelform
/cast Cat Form
But this doesnt:
#showtooltip
/cancelform
/cast [stance:1]Bear Form;[stance:2]Aquatic Form;[stance:3]Cat Form;[stance:4]Travel Form
Arent they essentially the same macro, but the 2nd just has conditions based on each form?
Because you cancel the form
they both cancel the form
Yes, but [stance:1] means "do this if you are in stance 1"
Which will never be true
ahhhh. makes sense. Duh.
Any thought on the very first one? going from travel/seal to cat?
Travel form is a buff only, not a stance, it doesnt change your spellbar like bear/moonkin/cat
Still counts as form 4 and can be macroed as such
There are some decent macros here: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/totally-pawesome-druid-macros-tested-in-beta-and-ready-for-classic/255251
using modified versions of those.
I think i fixed it by putting cancelform [noform:3] as the first line. didnt work at the end - oops.
thanks
#showtooltip Cat Form
/cancelaura leader of the pack
/cancelaura Predatory Strikes
/cancelform [noform:3]
/cast [form:3] Cat Form
/cast [noform:3] !Cat Form
someone gave me this for powershift. had no problems
not sure i need the pred strikes in there tho
unless that bugs out as an aura
if it aint broke, dont fix it so i leave as is
I have a question, which one is best druid feral cat leveling guide in Wowhead or Icy-Veins?
@dense bronze Do you know anything about pawn string for Classic feral dps that tells me which gear is upgrade. I looked into wowhead seems confuse me
str=1 agi=1 Stam=1 ?
Would y'all consider this a reliable guide at all? https://www.warcrafttavern.com/guides/taladrils-treatise-on-druid-tanking-in-vanilla/
Question for the Classic bears: aoe tanking rotation?
I seem to recall reading that spamming roars has fabulous threat to ALL mobs rather than just the 3x that are affected with Swipe. So .... how exactly are the successful bears doing it? (thanks in advance!)
With swipe you can get a lot of rage back if you crit
Swipe, constantly swap targets so you are melee hitting different mobs with white damage that are lower in threat and it also changes which 3 mobs are getting hit with the swipe. Roars also generate threat (not sure of the exact amount) and are not limited to 3 targets. But mostly... Have the dps just chill for a few seconds to build some aggro. All else fails, save that AOE taunt when you start losing a few mobs in a pack
So I ran a test and was able to tank and hold aggro on multiple packs of trash at the same time in ZF (level 45 bear) using just Demo Roar and FFF and the occasional Swipe ... that's 8+ mobs, FFF the mob marked skull (the rogue still managed to consistently pick a diff mob and I do not think he had ever trained Kick as he had ZERO interrupts in the damage meter at the end of the full clear!).
Anyone have the actual threat generated for Demo Roar and for Swipe (formula)?
I agree with the Swipe recommendations intuitively ... just was surprised that Demo Roar and FFF could hold a pack (along with white hits on Skull)
early on they nerfed the fuck out of demo roar
Feral DPS Druids are often recommended to "Sync up your energy ticks with shapeshifting".
I have installed now an add-ok to see the energy tick.
So far I googled the following Synch Rules:
- Don't shapeshift during Global Cool Down (GCD)
- Don't shapeshift, when Energy Bar has sufficient Energy to eg Shredder
Where I was not able to find something is about when to Shapeshift regarding the energy tick timer.
See below the image which describes my question best.
I feel the correct answer is to shapeshift when the timer has just started again - so in the image this would be point 1.
3
*between 2 and 3 doesnt matter
you should use your energy between 1 and 2
and shapeshift right after
If right after, why do I need then to look at the tick timer?
what addon is that fortytwo? I've been looking for an energy tick addon
NugEnergy. I moved it over the Standard Energy Bar
This is how it looks like on its own:
thanks
@plain zinc you dont wanna shift so that you shift too "early" so you would get an extra tick which would allow you to cast again the reason why you "shouldnt" shift between 1 and 2 is because you should be on gcd because you just casted a spell which made eyou run out of energy so you are on gcd
Okay was doing the level 10 druid quest and I used the dust to summon the lunaclaw and died to it
How do I get the item back to summon it again ?
at the very least you can go back to quest trainer, abandon it then pick up again
I found a good add-on to also show the GCD: Quartz.
No I have everything needed for ShapeShifting in one place:
Moonglow or HotW?
HotW
is boomkin a spec? or is it severely behind as to never be seen at all?
Fully possible to play boomkin as long as you have the right expectations
Just keep in mind that not everyone will be willing to accept such things, so finding a guild or group might be harder than it otherwise would be
You will have to work harder to prove yourself and even then you won't be setting any records, but you might have a fun experience and thats all that matters
On logs, the 36,000 parses of balance druids aggregate at the bottom of the damage meter
But the classic Druid discord does have ongoing conversations in the balance channel 🙂
They do exist, just hard to find guilds willing to bring that spec
If logs are an important factor to you as a player or your guild then balance won't really be an option to be considered at all
But there are definitely guilds out there for everyone
Hell if logs are important then druid as class won't be considered outside the token buffbot
¯_(ツ)_/¯
just wondered since ive not really seen or heard of any at all
I am in a guild which is quite chilled and the social component is more important.
So if you are a nice guy they don't care if you are a dps addicted warrior or an AOMM (Always out of Mana Moonkin 🙂
Example: I recently met in our guild a Feral Druid (DPS) which told me that she has never heard of shapeshifting. And she is part or our standard MC Raid team 1
Anyone have a balance phase gear guide
is it better to grind mobs as a bear or is cat better?
cat
if you pull a 2nd mob i'd hop into bear form
Open from stealth to give yourself the best chance of killing the mob before it heals itself and you’re ‘there’ longer than necessary .. or shift to bear and interrupt
Heya guys! Our guild is trying to make a prio list for BWL. We are stuck on the matter of how good is t2 for Resto Druids? Is the loss of lots of +heal from off pieces worth extra 3sec on Rejuv and 0.2sec off of Regrowth?
Who would you give the gear to if not your resto druids? How many of them are you running? Are you saying stack gear on 1 druid to get 3 5 and 8 pc asap?
Well ofc resto druid tiers will go to rdruid.. its more of a question whether they want to end up fully geared in t2 or use the off pieces instead (shoulders/legs/boots/etc). Just trying to figure out what option is better.
Is there an add-on to see on how long the pummler still ticks? (which I can move on the screen)
I am using now CT_Timer which is call together with the pummler in a Macro
See below my Feral-Druid (DPS) add-on setup:
Today I completed the first time Ragi in MC and was even in the Top 10 DPS:
congrats!
hi there guys, recently joined Dreamgrove! i wanted to post this in #balance but most of the posts there are related to Retail and not Classic. I've switched to Balance build and wanted to share with you my build so I could gather some comments on it, it will be cosmically awesome of you. Basically, I do dungeon and raid runs with it as DPS, and PvP, with some skinning PvE jobs. :D
https://classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/druid/5000503002551351-5000501-05
Grats on Rag! I have a question about Rag. Are there any potential raid damage issues associated with powershifting on this fight?
What I'm asking is during that minimal time that we're a "caster" in the middle of a powershift, does this make us susceptible to getting hit with Lava Burst and potentially hurting all of the stacked melee? edited
Or, are we alway susceptible to that attack as we have mana even when shapeshifted?
Hey friends, any good resources on Heal Druid Talents/Gear? I'm the heal lead of our guild and am looking for a better understanding of druids
@peak elm yeah if you powershift you can be targeted by the lava burst and fuck up all other melees, we had this happen to us when our feral tried powershifting during rag
Thanks for the reply. Has anyone tried moving the ferals, and enhancers if there are any, away from the melee stack? off to the side?
Ich checked with my Raid-Lead and he does not allow me to shapeshift
you dont get targeted during powershift unless you spend an entire global cooldown out of form
@peak elm
any highly experienced flag carriers know if double freezing band is good or if youre just better off with stuff like sulfuras/binding/archmagus?
Dam if you have 2k+ gold to waste on double freezing band just to be annoying when running flags 😄
Thanks for the replies guys. This line of questioning came up after comparing our logs, we have 2 feral dps in our raid group, to the logs of the highest feral dps logs and realizing that in all of the logs I looked at (the top 8), the other ferals were powershifting to the tune of 24 plus times during the fight. All of the fights I looked at were successful kills in a bit over 2 mins, and the druids did not die during the fight. That got me to wonder if either the mana bar in powershifting problem was more wive's tale than fact, or if all of the druids that I looked at had quilds that utilized different strats as far as where they locate their druids. I stopped at 8 logs because they all showed the same thing. Powershifting/self-innervating, and most threw an int pot on as well during the fight.
It’s probably worth putting a pin to the classic Druid discord in here, since it’s more active and splits up things by spec
The only time a feral should worry about being away from melee is if they innervate during the kill. If they pre innervate, they should never be out of form long enough to get targeted. If they want to innervate mid kill, they should move out during the gcd of using innervate
Is there any in-depth information i can get on how a Balance druid should gear/spec in Classic?
I'd recommend the classic druid discord. This one is more focused on retail druid gameplay
Lol apparently mods of this server filtered the invite link to the other server
Ahh ok ty, could you send it to me in Pm please?
What Fire-Resi (unbuffed) for a Feral-DD do you recommend for MC and Ony?
I have equipment for 128 but those reduce my max-dps as they have less crit, agi, str,...
Asked again the raid-lead and they still don't allow me to shapeshift
what...?
@plain zinc you can powershift perfectly fine and not get targeted my the mana ability on rag
if you dont know how to powershift instantly, you have a chance to get targeted and blowup the melee
I powershift following those rules: 1. Don't powershift during a GCD 2. Use a Macro
does your raid stalk logs to see if you are powershifting or not? Seems like if you are doing it right they shouldn't be able to tell graphically right?
^
Assuming you're standing with warriors, they're not going to see it even if the powershift hung. They're only going to realize you're powershifting it if there is a problem, or if you have a data miner in your guild. Very easy to see in the logs. If your guild has told you not to shift, which sadly they have in my case as well, you either don't, or find another guild. Breaking the guild's trust by shifting when they tell you not to is not likely to end well. We clear in about an hour and a half without pushing very hard, so it's not like clearing content is a problem. Would I prefer to shift, and contribute more, and be higher on the chart? All yes lol 🙂 As others have mentioned, it's "dated" content at this point, and I couldn't sell them on the change, so life moves on. Good Luck!
They can see it 1: Manabar 2: If I do a mistake and the DDs are kicked
And in the logs
I will for sure follow our guilds rules even if I have a different opinion. Even without ShapeShifting I do more DPS as the other Feral Druids in my guild :o) Since we have got MC and Ony on farm status, I don't see a reason to move to another guild.
Hey, wondering if there’s an updated feral tanking guide out there? Read most of the top hits from launch/pre classic launch, wondering what might be floating here on discord
Wait I'm confused why would a guild not want you powershifting what are the negatives to it?
On rag specifically you can fuck the melee group
They fear the microsecond it might fuck the melee group
When in reality it should not
Since boss falls over easily enough might as well play safe
The endboss Ragi in MC fires/kicks at players where he detects mana. When you are not in Cat form you and all players around you are on risk. A complete raid-wipe is then likely.
If you follow the rule not to shapeshift during a Global Cooldown (GCD) , which prevents you from shifting back to cat, I guess you are quite safe.
But having in mind that you would shapeshift during the boss fight very frequently taking care of so many things in parallel, I am personally not confident enough to 100% shapeshift after GCD is completed.
I have had several cases in inis, where my shapeshift macro was stopped as a GCD (from my last shred actions) was still running.
That's why I don't shapeshift during Ragi.
During the bossfight the raidlead anyway does not look at my dps.
For them it is more important to that I am reliable by
- simply not die (position is quite important at Ragi)
- heart of the wild buff is not forgotten
- when the heal goes out of mana to innervate it (but go away from your melee group first!!!)
- battle rez on demand
- I am skilled with "Leader of the Pack" so our DDs get 3% more crit.
Especially a reliable innervate is highly appreciated during a raid. Much more than maxed out dps.
is classic dead yet
Nope
No , it is even still challenging due too the many players to farm for GOLD
58 min MC feral tank POV
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_Yq8WMVD5g&feature=youtu.be
Easy Company - WoW Classic - US Sulfuras
No Flask - Practice Run
Wouldn’t powershifting drop leader of the pack for a quick blip?
Depending on how picky you are about definition of blip
ThE actionas of shifting out and in is almost simultaneous
Classic is at its best if you take your time imo. I'm at level 47 on my Druid right now and having a blast
eh i'm lvl 49
which basically means
i play for 20 mins every week or so
i just kinda get bored easily
pshifting can also just fuck LotP and make it dissapear cause blizzard things
it may but i need that opening maul unless i have my hoj equipped
dps in my guild cant wait
hey, how does warchiefs blessing work with bear druids
powershifting is a macro, cancel lotp before doing the cat shift
As Feral-DD I farm "Manual Crowd Pummeler"
Today is my 100 kill:
As you can see my record is 8.51 sec :o)
So I'm thinking about getting Swiftwalker boots but it only comes out to 2 dps increase and 1% crit but pads of dreadwolf give more dps than Swiftwalker so is it worth the 1% crit to grab them?
Or do I just stick with my pads
Swiftwalker Boots are BiS, but it depends on what other gear you use. I have Shaddowcraft Boots which are on it's own much below the Swiftwalker, but due to the set bonus I would decrease my dps by changing to the Swiftwalker. I use the Feral Caat Dps Simulator from Shedo: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uj_CNN3vr2wwKu_xEfrPjn22fHM_lnSzSkhTA5BakwY/edit#gid=1023299673
To calculate what is better
As Feral-DD I farm "Manual Crowd Pummeler"
Today is my 100 kill:
@plain zinc I had a lucky crit streak with a 6sec clear once. 130kills as of yet, to prepare for BWL, gonna bank them numbers up!.
I have now powerleveled Engineering from 0-200. now I need to decide on how to specialize: Goblin or Gnomisch to increase my dps,...
Any advice?
Does the blue dragon dmf card work with shifting?
World First Double Feral Tank BWL when?!
Tanking nef call will be fun
Actually this is classic so bring like 4. The DPS should be fine anyway
does hibernate not work in BWL
uh, this one i don't quite remember, i would check the level of what you're trying to sleep
it does work on the trash after the 2nd boss
so im debating on if i should wait to get a weapon like draconic maul to enchant with +15 agi or do i just slap it on my Bonecrusher, or do i grab Unstoppable Force and enchant that instead.
i thought warden staff is best defensive and pummeler is best offensive
are you looking for something in between or something?
i dont know why i assumed tanking, in that case shouldn't pummeler be your only go to?
if we ignore that , i think DM is the best item, but it's been a while since i Looked at rankings
yeah
manual is best for raid dps
but manual lacks in raw stats tbh
and imo its a waste of money to enchant a wep that is going to get 3 meaningful uses
correct, but pummel without enchant outperforms others with enchant, right?
so i guess it's just if you really want to have an enchanted weapon
yeah i gotcha
and in every other case its better use a weapon with heavier stats
Sup all
BiS for Tank = Warden Staff (+25 Agility Enchant)
BiS for DD (Ini+Raid-Trash) = Bonecrusher (+25 Agility Enchant)
BiS for DD (Raid-Boss) = Pummeler (without Enchant)
I personally use the "Impervious Giant" as it gives me 1% hit and 2% crit.
I only use the pummeler for Raid-Bosses where the team needs to max out DPS.
But there are so many Bosses which either move, or you need to stay away, they kick you,
that most of the time I cant stay long enough at the Boss to get the pummeler fully utillized.
The trash goes down much faster than 30sec so pummeler is not an option as well.
What's the best server for alliance to play thats pop?
Might want to include region in your question
eu
There are a few good ones, but its probably hard to beat Firemaw (for both ally and horde)
Unless you are completely against having queues from time to time
resto?
I'm partial to Moonglow (deep balance for Moonglow, then getting Nature's Swiftness in the Resto tree)
Hello, wassup guys & girls ? I've got a question about rdrood.
Which spec is better at this point of the game ? Regrowth spec or Healing Touch ? Our druids said it's better Regrowth spec, but i think at this point of the game healing touch spec is still better. What do you think about this ?
It really depends on where you are as each phase of the game required other specs.
So is it for leveling, for the inis like BRD, UPRS,... or are you already raiding MC/Ony maybe BWL?
(I changed my specs: 1. Level Spec 2.Pre-Raid 3.Raid)
PvP is also another story (I know that we have players switching their spec between PvP and Raid)
We are at bwl
Question is there a google doc with Pre-bis and Bis for Balance druids in classic on the discord? I normally check Wowhead but it doesn't seems to have phase 3 up yet.
@limber radish I'd try both out and see what fits - but my experience is that healing touch is better. Regrowth is a good spec, but demands good gear as it is not very mana efficient. Additionally, the HoT part of Regrowth very often goes to overhealing since healers have a tendency to always top people off. It could just because my raid brings 10-12 healers to BWL, but in my circumstance Moonglow is much more useful.
@serene isle I don't know how accurate this is, but I made a copy of this sheet which has a ton of bis info: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wz_eFHKbkY1wA63lk9YkjM7FaNKkw22uqYZgxi-0pp0/edit?usp=sharing
Can I post a Druid fan art I commissioned somewhere?
Yeah on reddit
offtopic
anyone have log examples o f crowd pummeler versus not for feral on boss fights of different varities?
Hi. Anyone have a link to a written leveling guide?
@neon snow is a very basic one but id recommend watching ebbnflows leveling guide on youtube https://classic.wowhead.com/guides/druid-leveling-classic-wow
id also recommend leveling with this build https://classicdb.ch/?talent#0zLVhoZxzgscbdtV
A content database for world of warcraft classic
is staff od domincance better than lokamir in regfrowth spec
ive seen alot of top druids with staff
i know many peopole dont have lokamir yet
i have hammer and lei rn wondering if i should switch to staf of dominace till i get lokamir
in regrowth spec
Does anybody know how crit scales differently for regrowt?
I still need: Truestrike Shoulders from the first boss in UBRS.
Instead of the hazzle finding always a group, have someone tried to farm this boss with e.g. 3 druids (heal, tank, dd) ?
I would imagine the packs you have to go through in the room downstairs might be a hassle with just 3
since you must kill them to get to the boss
Cant we stealth? Or would they come to help?
Need advice on how i should organise my action bars
Whatever way you feel most comfortable/efficient
idk as i feel like trying something new with them
Right bars = consumables and buffs. Bootom 1 = Shapeshift Macros (eg. shift & heal, shift & dash etc). Bottom 2 = Attack per form (but used via mouse)
Left area needed for the raid window. Battle relevant info concentrated on the right area
Bottom left = change of trinkets
also love the look of your game like the pictures ad stuff
what add ons are you using?
Which is the better item for someone wanting to both cat dps and bear tank?
(I dont have enchanting for smoking heart trinket btw)
https://classic.wowhead.com/item=13965/blackhands-breadth
vs
https://classic.wowhead.com/item=13966/mark-of-tyranny
My bear trinkets right now:
https://classic.wowhead.com/item=4130/smotts-compass
and
https://classic.wowhead.com/item=17774/mark-of-the-chosen
Quick question: After applying moonfire highest Rank Dot on the Enemy , which Rank u wanna use for monnfire Spamming in Pvp?
no doubt: mark-of-tyranny as this is Tank BiS allover classic even in phase 6
smoking heart is worth to powerskill enchanting. Easy as you can buy most of it in AH. After you have crafted it, you can learn engineering (again powerskill) as this is the best prof. for Cat DPS
@plain zinc thank you
I just picked this trinket up
https://classic.wowhead.com/item=11810/force-of-will
Doesn't seem to proc very often. For now I'm better off w 1% dodge vs force of will?
our plan is to open Arathi Basin on all realms the week of March 10. At that time, we will also kick off the Battleground Holidays system.
We plan to open Zul’Gurub and release the fabled Dragons of Nightmare in April.
1% dodge seems to be better
What's the word for https://classic.wowhead.com/item=19289/darkmoon-card-maelstrom as feral on classic?
Depends on what trinkets you already have. Counterattack Lodestone and Hand of justice are better. Blackhands Breadth is BiS. If you dont have them, then go for Maelstrom.
I have HoJ and some pvp trinket and selected the tank trinket thinking it would be useful for all of classic..
should i be going swiftmend as soon as i have 3/8 t2?
assuming the rest of my gear is bis/prebis?
hey guys, anyone simmed HoJ and the proc rate? a guildie just told me that some new info about how dagger rogues shouldn't use HoJ because of the fast attack speed being affected by spellbatching or something
HoJ is merely bis for rogues until DFT now instead of until AQ, so I’d assume the same is true for feral dps
right, but compared to counterattack lodestone how does HoJ fare? i ask because i didnt get blackhand's breadth, i went for mark of tyranny
can anyone tell me what the rough values of strength and agility are for a leveling feral druid? are they pretty close to equal or is one much better than the other?
just go for of the Tiger items if you want to level solo as a cat, if u wanna level through dungeons and tank go for agi items (of the Monkey)
generally id go for more agi either way
yo friends, what is better on classic with boomkin... go for spellpower, intelm spirit, hit, crit etc... or full gear to "of arcane wrath"
is classic dead?
yes
Not as dead as PVP in retail
Classic is far from dead
This just isn’t the classic Druid discord so this channel would make it seem pretty dead
I mean most the information has been out there for 15 years, not necessarily that big of a need for an active channel
There is a separate Classic Druid discord that is more active than this sub-channel. Give it a search and you should find it!
^^^^^ this
wrong channel myb
whats the classic discord channel?
@everyone anyone know the classic disc channel? trouble searching for it
Please help! - Innervate: Does the spell work such that you can continue casting and receive 400% mana regen for the duration regardless of 5sr OR puts you at 100% while casting, but 400% while not casting?
you regen at the same speed regardless of casting during innervate, so 400%
TY!
Hey Yall. Was wondering if I could borrow someone's eyes. I unfortunately don't have enough time to comb through. The other druid in our guild was asking what can be done to improve her numbers and performance. My main suggestion is focus on spammin HT(R4), possibly switch to moonglow. Would anyone mind taking a look at our logs tonight and dig into her actions and provide some pointers. https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/8qTbP4aDcnNGkFzB/
The best way to "improve healing" is going to be cutting healers. You're running 8-10 healers with gross amount of overhealing
so there's a lot of sniping. HT4 is fine for sniping since it has a lower casting time, but ultimately if you're playing the sniping game regrowth spamming for short fights is going to be better. Ultimately you also need to ask yourself: are people dying to lack of healing?
Just cast starfire and kill that boss yourself
Sup all
Is classic dead?
yes
No
is kitty healing a thing in classic?
Do you mean like "catweaving"? or just mashing heal4 but with feral talents
regrowth spec healing
hey guys for open world pvp in moonglow spec for overall maximum dps would you use staff of dominace with plus 30 spell power or lokamir with plus 55 healing and tome of arcane
i would go lokamir and therazanes touch, for the the natures grace wrath
Hi guys , you know if
Elementary stone works with feral form like cat ?
2% crit on melee weapon
ferals dont attack with their weapons. so i guess no
While I dont know for sure, if its a bonus that is applied to the weapon it should work aslong as the bonus doesnt suggest you need to attack to activate it.
And if it shows as a bonus it should definitely work, unless spaghetto coding
TL;DR procs doesnt work, stats do.
Heres a druid guild that I found was pretty good if anyone wants to check it out. https://youtu.be/d1YBv2mWllO
hay all i was wondering if there is any good spec for being tank/healer that works very well
Whats better for an bear: "Malefic Bracers" or "Cenarion Bracers" or "Blackmist Armguards"
The blackmist one looks interesting as it increases the hit by 1%
Anyone know if theres a more dedicated only to classic druid discord?
Dunno if this is a good channel for this question but.. Does anyone know how i can move this "player info" window (however its called) somewhere else? Is there an addon for it or a command in game? Because i can't find it. Thanks in advance 🙂
Tooltip!
And yes, there is quite a few addons that can change it (and move it)
Best place to find one is here: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/tooltip?filter-game-version=2020709689%3A7773&filter-sort=4
For example: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/tiptac-classic
I have classic questions!, well, seerver questions for classic lol
Thank you so much! :D
Question, does the blue dragon trinket stack with 3 piece tier 2? is it even bis for resto druid?
I'm legit corpse camping a lvl 60 raid geared hunter with Rhok'delar and he can't even manage go get me below 50% hp. I'm lvl 56 (4 levels under him) lol
does a resto druid in bc really stay as a tree all the time
Yes
is hit cap for feral 8 or 9 percent, i have always thought it to be 9% but number 1 feral DPS is only using 8 %
8 for yellow
Didn't tree form back in BC have a speed decrease associated with being in the form? So you'd shift out for anything requiring movement, but becuase it's a bonus to healing, you spend most of your time in tree.
hey dudes is the beasts deck worth it on a resto druid?
i got extra gold to burn was curious
for about 700g
8 for yellow
@remote lance isnt the 1st % ignored like with other melee classes ie rogues/warriors ?
@lone zealot its a second innervate so why not? also (correct me if im wrong) but each time u cast a HoT on it has a chance to trigger, if u decrease your spells rank and increase the amount of HoT you cast you should be able to trigger its effects more
for 300 weapon skill yeah i guess, so 9% effective
do druid benefit from +weapon skills ie if they use dagger with + skills?
@lone zealot beasts deck is definitely worth 700 gold for a resto
@lapis garden +Weapon skill does nothing in cat and bear form
How many of you went from 30/21 HOTW to moonglow and what did you think?
well the boomy side u will only get to nature's grace or 1 point in moonglow, dont thin it will beneficial as most of the skills for boom you will skip ie reduction in cast time of starfire and u miss out on 10% dmg boost from moonfire and mana reduction in most of your boomy skills, just for extra 20% intel. Tbh the benefit of HotW isnt worth the loss if you going to go dps
HotW only works with healer imo as yes u loose a bit of boost in heals but u gain alot of extra mana to keep dps/tanks up
a HotW boomy u gimp yourself in dmg for a bit of extra mana and i bet your crit will be similar if u were to just go full balance tree
So for PVP at 60, how does gearing work for the most part?
Do you just go 1/29/21 and just get good gear for all resto/bear/cat?
@lapis garden Oh I meant for resto...
Right now I have most good talents for bear and in resto tree I have most of the good talents down to nature swiftness.
Other options seem like swiftmend or a crit regrowth build neither appears to me. Last option is moonglow/resto. I like being able to tank 5 mans so I'm hesistant to swap from HOTW to moonglow
@light tree i tried the HotW resto build, its decent, u get alot of mana but you are replying then solely on using healing touch due to skill you pick up in resto and also using different downranks of healing touch. with the intel boost i find it slightly better then Moonglow build as in moonglow you decrease your cost of spells but with HotW you get extra intel = extra mana + extra crit so overall your heals do more at a higher mana cost but you have a better mana pool
issue with both methods is you lack the use of swiftmend and your overall heal arent as strong as going full resto due to not having gift of nature plus you miss out of improv regrowth and improv rejuv. overall its an ok build if you want to heal instances + possibly MC, but it wont cut it for BWL / Progression runs. i would only recommend it for any raids that are on farm.
any idea how to get to teldrassil from sw
teleport to moonglade
Damn I should have done that instead of spending almost all my silver on gryphons lol
my druid's only like level 20 but yeah i always have heart in eastern kingdoms (usually sw) and then use moonglade to go to like teldrassil or ashenvale
Friends lend me your thoughts. i just got Warden staff on my 60 Druid in classic and plan to use it for FC in WSG, Is the raw AGI enchant the BIS for this setup?
does anyone know what % faster total you run with Dash when you have 2/2 feline swiftness, 15% movement speed from pvp set, and minor speed to boots.
is there a classic doc guide for druids?
Hey guys, looking to main a druid. Any tips for gear in the 1-30 bracket. pst some ideas plx
whats everyones fav version of 1/29/21
Anyone know how to write a macro that does one thing in a particular form and something else in another?
want to put demo roar and bandage on the same hot key
Anyone have a updates bis list for balance now that zg is open?
get yourself bloodvine set. Maybe the ring Set from ZG. Thats it i would say
any feral updates/tips might try to level up another druid for fun with my brother and his son.
Take your first 5 talent point in Furor and learn to powershift. Furor gives you energy when shifting into Cat. So when you are in Cat form and out of energy, you reshift for +40 energy
my macro is:
/Stand
/Dismount
/cancelform
/Cast Cat Form
I think there are better macros out there. Maybe people can share their Classic Druid Macros in here today?
hey friends, is it fair to say that 8/8 is bis for now in classic
for resto ofc
or is the 8/8 bonus not worth it
Hey does any one have a wa of nature grace proc?
does anyone have any heart of the wild pawn stat scales or bis gear progession for resto?
Hey @tender void are you talking about t2 for raiding ? If so 8/8 is not bis. For raiding few t2 pieces are bis for raiding. Wrist hands MAYBE chest depending on who you talk to and t2 helm is good if you don’t get mishundare. I am also excluding all world boss drops because though many of them are bis they are very difficult to get.
I was told "play what you want, its your game" so I decided feral DPS, now it seems that the guild doesn't want a cat dps as "its not optimum" is this common in classic? Does it extend into TBC if its released? Any tips on how to get a raid worth DPS? I've got pumerlers on farm, shift Mark with consumable, sapper and standard. I have WA for shifts remaining and swing timer. Anything else I can do?
if you're playing with anyone that says "you can't come because that's not optimal" then i'd switch
Yeah
you can be like 30 balance druids and do anything in the game lmao
True true, but I'm on a mission to prove people wrong 😇 is there anything I can add to my feral arsenal?
They're nor necessarily wrong though, they just have a bad mindset
@candid sphinx well I think both "mindsets" are wrong, you will not prove theem wrong because thy simply are correct Feral is not optimal, however especially for classic you dont need optimal comp setups the classic pve content is very easy compared to todays wow. Not sure which classes are "bad" in tbc, but there will also bee classes which are worsee and will be considerd not optimal, like in bfa you may have trouble if you only play speccs like sub rogue or MM hunter people will teell you that they wont take you because you dont play optimal speccs
what's with the its not optimal, you anyways want the druid buff and bear does more pure tps than warrior
also you can do this
#showtooltip goblin sapper charge
/cancelform
/use goblin sapper charge
/cast dire bear form
I wish we could get some more Macros posted in here
@steady jasper there is a Google doc somewhere with them all. Most feral are phaseshifting with a consumable 😋
hi all ive been told to pop in here to look for a good BIS list for feral cat in classic. anyone got any tips. ive been basing my set on https://classic.wowhead.com/guides/feral-druid-dps-gear-bis-classic-wow
still struggling to get TSS so shoulder options would be good
anyone have the stat weights for mp5/crit/+healing handy?
How do you keep track of faerie fire when healing? I have a weak aura that tracks it but only if I keep the enemy targeted.
I want to be able to FF a target then target raid members and have something keeping track of that enemys debuff.
quick question: is there a feral discord for wow classic? or just for druid in generel ?
Yes there is one for all druids in general. Can't post link directly due to spamfilter.

Hunter or warlock. Which is more fun?
fun is subjective, roll warlock
Hunter, for sure
PvE/PvP? Rot vs raw burst, they're entirely different classes.
Do people prefer leveling in bear or cat?
cat unless i'll die to the mob if i don't go bear
Anyone know if I can drop enchanting after making the Smoking Heart of the Mountain trinket and still equip it?
@azure bobcat yes you can drop enchanting and still equip the Smoking Heart of the Mountain
ok ty
So i have t2 head and the zulian dress. on what should i put my zg enchant on?
regrowth vs. moonglow spec, discuss
hey fellas...long time away so i forgot a lot...is it posible to start a druid, port to lets say SW and start the jurney there?
Worth to get Darkmoon Blue Dragon? Currently leveling up a druid, plan to heal. Card Deck is 500-600g tho atm. Since its Dark Moon right now.
No it's not worth it. Not only because MP5 is a garbage stat, but also because it's simply not a very reliable MP5 trinket when compared to the other ones.
and yes Drumacak you can do that
Oh ok. I through its good since icy veins has it in Toplist 😄
A lot of BiS guides are bad, especially ones created before classic launched. They all HEAVILY over-value mana. Try joining the Classic Druid discord for more accurate info.
They also have some spreadsheets detailing exactly how it compares to other mana trinkets
There is a seperate discord for classic? Mind link it to me?
I have to DM it to you, bot blocks it
I intend on playing Healer Druid. Do I level as DPS then swap or queue dungeons as Healer to level? Also, if I go Healer, do I still need engineering?
any classic guilds i can join
who gets prio on imperial quraji regalia? can an argument be made that its better than a pummler for druid tanking mitigation tanking or are you really needing MCP in every fight?
im thinking about fights your tanking 2nd target and stuff where you dont need threat burst.
is that enough to give us prio or is the other items from that turn in that much better for other classes? I use my warden staff alot I feel like that would be a straight up replacement in most cases. idk thou.
i know mcp is better for dps and straight threat but as OT thats not always your goal. i guess im asking where we sit in the prio line on that item.
Someones bored of farming pummelers
fuggin a
@daring cedar depends but as off tank loosing threat is typically not an issue so warden staff is best. As main tank where you get high prio from the heals, changing from less armor to more damage is recommended.
Since MCP is only 90sec the quraji is much better when a fight takes longer than 90sec
.
Buy gear to improve hurricane AoE?
For Raid Trashmobs I am considering (as Feral-DD) to shift out of cat and switch gear to use hurricane. Lets say the gear then has 150 spell power. But our druid expert does not recommend it, because hurricane is not scaling well with spellpower,...
Whats your expierience?
hey folks, 1st time poster. does anyone have any information if the t2 3 bonus for heal druids is really helpful or if more +heal is better? i ask mainly because of the shoulder pieces. thanks a lot. 😉
I love the 3 piece for OS healing, im Feral and occasional just help out on firemaw/Nef if our raid is healer light. With HotW and the set i can heal forever.
Does anyone have any input on Regrowth spec? I've been testing and trying to decide which is more impactful between the last point of Gift of Nature (+2% healing) and Imp Regrowth (+10% crit chance to Regrowth). It's hard because while I mainly Regrowth, I do use Rejuvenation a lot, too. and that 2% extra healing can go pretty far given that it impact all the HoT numbers throughout the raid. Any thoughts? I appreciate it.
the 10% crit is so much better.
the 2% healing from GoN does not scale with +healing
and the 10% crit from regrowth is the whole point of the regrowth spec
since you use it with nature's grace. that one point of talent is like a permanent onyxia head buff
yo guys what about swap weapon+inervate macro for boomkin on classic? can any1 help?
Hey all, im looking for some advice., im playing feral(tank/dps hybrid talent) pretty good gear, but i miss a lot... anyone has some suggestions?
https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/HcfNy7QAq2mVjhJD#fight=9&type=damage-done&source=7
my overall numbers are not bad, but without those misses could be much better...
is there some secret hitcap for finishing moves not to miss? i have tried messing with my gear, i get similar results with 8%, 9% and even with 10% hit rating...
Eliminați joc
is there some secret hitcap for finishing moves not to miss? i have tried messing with my gear, i get similar results with 8%, 9% and even with 10% hit rating...
@HotsAndDots/RiseAndShine#1807
9%
https://www.wowhead.com/news=292085/hit-cap-in-classic-wow-clarifications
im trying to find a WA or an addon that will track herbing/mining order for my guild but i cant find anything, anyone know a good one or they have a method they use to track it themselves? we have like 6-7 herbalists so ZG turns into a disaster every time lol
A simple notepad should be enough, or just designate 1 user to herb it all and then at the end either roll it out or distribute it fairly
yeah, there just some conflicts with it because people dont wanna put in more effort or whatever. i might just see if they will give me the power to oversee it lol
How viable is omen of clarity in classic as resto raid healer
Would you agree or disagree that swiftmend is the best spec for tank healing in raid?
I enjoy healing with Swiftmend in classic - very strong healing
hey guys. Quick question for feral pvp/wpvp. Is this a viable build?
Considering all ur points are in resto.... no??
would personally take one out of feline swiftness for the last point in shapeshifter, but yeah that's the standard FC build
if by "feral pvp" you mean fighting people in cat/bear form then, no, it's not particularly good at that
if you're interested in that I'd recommend HotW/NS I'd recommend something like 1/29/21
gives you a very strong bear form that's notably very good at fighting rogues @lucid moth
when is it worth primarily using catform over bearform while lvling?
always, except maybe quest elites that you need to be tankier for
TY!
Just found that on wago.io there are lots of WeakAura configs for Ferals.
Can someone recommend one of them?
Probably the energy tick so you can powershift just before it
is there a pre raid biss list from classic other than wowhead for bears?
I got a question
I'm a Tauren druid and I just finished the questline in Mulgore. Where would it be best to go after that?
barrens
Sweet Thanks
Any spot in particular for a starting quests? Or do I just walk out the Mulgore gate?
crossroads
Sweet thanks!
hopefully some classic macro gurus can help me. I'm using Vudho raid frames for all my mouseovers and frame indicators. My guild is pretty set on speedrunning so us druids aren't allowed to cast rejuv at all on the tanks as they are close to, if not at buff cap and they don't want to lose their world buffs. My problem is that the chances of my accidently rejuving a tank based on 15 years of muscle memory is very likely and the GM has said that if a tank dies due to losing a world buff that results in a death, then heads will roll. I don't want to be that guy. I've simply taken the rejuv mouseover away in raids completely which isn't ideal. My question is, is there a conditional macro or addon that I can use, compatible with vudho frames that will allow me to cast rejuv if the target isn't a tank, and if it's a tank, it either casts nothing or an alternate spell like healing touch?
Afraid not bud. I've never heard of such a conditional marker. The only thing I could imagine is marking the tank with e.g. cross and somehow excluding that in the macro. But yet again I don't think it exists.
highly doubt that works
Hey i just got DMF trinket is there any merit to spamming rank 1 rejuv in order to fish for procs during downtime?
FeralDPS on Draconic, counterweight till agi25 or agi all day?

Hello Druid.. I want to get back into classic, im thinking about playing a druid im not much of a healer so i dont think its possible for me to play.
is it possible to play druid dps??
feral can work, tanking also.
Just gotta find a guild that allows for it, but many are open to off-meta.
Aside from wowhead and IV, is there anywhere I can find a feral DD BIS list? (That would be updated for phase 5)
I ask because wowhead doesn’t include a lot of different gear (like primal batskin and various ZG drops)
#showtooltip
/cast Nature's Swiftness
/cast [@mouseover] Healing Touch
Should work @mighty lintel
Does anyone know if attempts have been made to make a druid only guild in classic? Or was it deemed impossible from the start?
why impossible not too uptodate with classic mechanics but outside of mayb certain dispels and nef
should be able to clear stuff
I have to DM it to you, bot blocks it
@jade niche Could you DM me the link for the classic druid discord? the link I found has expired.
They were getting spammed by a bot so they closed invites and deleted all the old links as of a few hours ago
Ah so this just happened then? was confused as all the links I could find said they worked but had clearly expired
Questions for my fellow ferals:
- For feral DPS, how to you weigh crit vs. AP when choosing gear? i.e., how much AP do you have to gain before you'd consider a piece of gear over something that gives crit (whether directly or converted from agility)
- For feral raid tanking, how high do you guys prioritize being at hit cap vs. having better mitigation? For raids are you always always always at 9% hit or do you give yourself wiggle room if you have better mit gear at the expense of hit?
I've obtained a fair amount of end game gear at this point and am having difficulty with picking out the best sets. Different online sources give varying or vague answers about stat prio and I'm just reaching out to get some more opinions
Have you seen the classic druid discord? has lots of good info
re: 1. you want to sim your gear using shedo's spreadsheet
re: 2. there's no reason to skimp on hit, especially with all the zg hit options. there are arguably only a couple of scenarios where you would value mit higher, such as broodlord or FR on firemaw, but even then, you can itemise to 9% hit
i personally use a threat set for mc/zg, a more balanced set for most of bwl, a potato/mit set for broodlord/garr adds/domo adds, and fire res set for vael
should I go skinning and leather working or Alchemy and Herbalism?
I'm still level 10
going feral druid
Do you have an end game goal? Are you after making gold?
Personally I would go herbalism and mining to make gold while leveling. Skinning is not very good for money. Then at 60 if you were raiding you could think about alchemy or engineering (for sappers) instead of mining, or just keep the gathering professions to make gold if not raiding. Enchanting not needed for feral despite what old guides would say - the trinket isn't needed.
Leatherworking not really needed. You can get someone else to make what you need
anybody got the aq40 BIS list?
i wonder the same 🙂
invites were down yest due to spam bot
bis list pinned on the classic druid feral tank section
resto bis: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1klLhpa64vyJvfAFoO_pp9I-uFluY0KM1QgInddqSxWM/edit#gid=0
I'm sure this question gets beat into the ground, but does anyone here have a guide on why MCP is better than other Draconic Maul? I understand how powerful the ASPD is but im curious about how much better it is
for bear, haste is proportional to threat. so 50% haste = 50% more threat
for cat, 50% haste is still a big dps bonus, so you're looking at about 10% boost to dps
you can sim it for cat with shedo's cat sim
for bear, MCP is so much more threat that it even beats atiesh
let alone draconic maul
but most people are not using MCP on trash, so draconic is decent for current phase on trash
Can anyone please invite me to the Classic Druid discord? The link is not working on Wowhead.
Same here if possible
same (:
1:08 AM] Hotarm: invites were down yest due to spam bot
the discord is dead atm due to a spam bot
@cold moth thank you for the valuable information. I have not seen the classic druid discord. I'll look for a working link to join it once the spam-bot issue is resolved.
@cold moth Thank you very much!
Hi guys!
I need help!
I'm new to wow classic, I like the game a lot and I'd like to be recommended a guide to level up quickly 🙏🏻
This is pretty good
Leveling spec, that leads to end game tank spec/and lets you powershift with imp shred towards the end
Anyone got an NR set list for AQ?
@worn flax Could possibly send you one, but it's a bit specific one I made for my guild.
Guys. I saw this and wanted to share https://wago.io/1Zqr-ccR4
Can someone hit me up with an invite for the classic druid server? Thanks in advance 😄
^ me too, please 😁
The original Druid Classic Discord seems to be down still, not sure if they'll fire it back up or start a new?
Isn't a straight new invite possible instead of the link?
Hey I was wondering if anyone could pass me an invite to the classic druid server? Also I was wondering if anyone had a spreadsheet that weighed stats for resto
can i get a discord invite to the classic druid server ty
If anyone can give me an invite that’d be great 🙂
same here please
^
Hello! Any pvp bis guide?
Hello! Is there still an active Classic Druid server? If so, an invite would be great 🙂
No its broken
Is the classic Druid server back? Can I get an invite plz?
Can i get an invite for classic druid?
no
Is there somewhere a statement on what's wrong with it? Can we get the owner to keep us up to date here perhaps?
As stated by the discord owner. "We had an attack of a malicious bot. I had to remove all previous invite links to help contain it. Please update your discord references appropriately. Sorry for the inconvenience."
"For now invites are closed. I don't want this to blow up overnight when I can't fix it."
That was the 15th
Seems some people here ran off the owner so I doubt you'll get updates here from him.
anyone here that plays classic and knows something about druids?
What do you want to know about druids
feral itemization
i only offtank at times
BiS lists for Feral tank gear in all phases
gives you the 3 top choices in every slot
according to that list, if you have full bis then you are at +4% hit
Also kind of weird that the list has Breastplate of Bloodthirst but not Band of Accura
bis lists dont work for tanking in general
one thing I'm wondering about is whether to get attack speed on my weapon/gloves or whether to get agility enchants
yes aim for 9% hit. bis list is a guide anyway
u want haste on weapon and gloves
the best part of that bis list is the bigger focus on threat/balanced pieces, over previous lists that overemphasized mitigation
that bis list has different tabs. accuria is bis in MC/BWL phase
yea i dont think it's worth getting BoB now. just get primal bat chest (or even Mixologist tunic) and wait for malf bulwark
You don't necessarily need 9% hit in either cat or bear
Hit has its own stat weight and at certain points it's more effective to bring gear with more AP
true, but the better gear ends up getting you to hit cap anyway
all the bear weights that the bis list uses are on https://sixtyupgrades.com/ now, so can see how the weightings work on each item
blooddrenched head (2%), ony neck (1%), primal bat chest and bracers (1+1%), devilsaur set (2%), preserved head belt (1%), don julio ring (1%) - as a starting point for 9%
and swap helm for wolfshead and shoulders for truestrike, and u got dps set too
i dont think u should aim for the 9% hit, i tank in bwl with 4 and 6%, its enough
as cat do u just wanna bite asap or do u get some energy
with as low energy as possible, the enrgy to dmg ratio isnt taht good in classic to wwait for 50
Shred if more than 60 energy, bite if at 5 combo points but less than 60 energy
if i powershift its better to shred since im at 80 and wait for 1 tick to bite?
depends also on ur manapool and on the fight lenght. if u can powershift all ur energy "Mistakes" it will be a little dmg gain
@warped harness https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vS7FShbDw2Mvuwc35LlTrM6Zm2aCxA0pkm1OjDFGktrkxMkonQHLrOyMnbBTKVP7Is0aFdYNAbyboIU/pubhtml#
@rain ice is there a cat version of this?
Thanks!
hey guys, does anyone have a good list for NR gear for resto druids?
for what purpose? Consensus seems to be that only the melee need to be running NR in AQ
Tank + 15 closest need Nr or something like this
But as heal u should be near there
Should not*
thanks
Soooo in classic content, there are Druid of the Claw (feral) and Druids of the Moon (balance)... what would resto druids be? Branch and Grove are later on in the time line correct?
On private server I think they were able to cheese the 15 closest people with barov peasant caller. I wonder if that will work in classic
