@manic arrow I don't super keep up with resto druid stuff but I think the swiftmend extending HoT duration is up there. People liked double lifebloom but I think its fallen out of favor since the extra healing on that legendary got nerfed.

I think Circle might also be a contender but not sure there. I can imagine Circle + Adaptive Swarm would be really strong HoT healing

If you are new to macros I highly recommend an addon called clicked...relatively new, and it replaces the oudated built in macro system with a full keybind system and the ability to use it as a "clique" replacement....

Clicked the addon actually does everything that clique does and more. I downloaded it on a whim when I read it and thought man, I can replace bartender / dominos (for keybinding) and clique and have macros that are not stuck with the blizzard default amount of characters. Just give it a shot if you get a chance 🙂 You can blacklist frames just like in clique as well

One of the reasons I like big macros is because if you swap specs you can put multiple specs/classes into one macro and use it inter-character. Now with Clicked, you have the option of having multiple "binds" that you can specify spec, stance, etc. It almost allows you to create macro conditions without actually doing a macro. It's pretty darn neat. He's going to add macro syntax formatting sometime too.

@hazy shale I am no pro nor am I an arena or resto pro BUT I can say that playing resto and what you pick will be determined by what you are doing (2s, 3s) or world/bgs and also the specs you face. You will want to be dynamic to swap out things for certain conditions.

Playing feral aff in 2s would be neat because you cat form and maim which is new. Playing guardian in 3s is probably great because you get bear and all it's tankyness plus the new incap roar which synergizes great with landing cyclones, etc.

I like having access to all y stuff but try to put your used stuff on the easier to press ones and also look at help / harm macros but bet advised you will have to make some decisions as a druid on if you want to do that as you have the added complexity of choosing to be able to cast certain spells inside a form but they will take you out of a form as well. (Such as sunfiring a or wrathing, etc..)

I've pretty much only being guardian aff with strength of the wild and even dropping bash sometimes for hotw

since feral seems to be squishy right now on ptr, the talents seems to provide me with the ability to livelord most things. The issue is that I don't like relying on HOTW as a 5min cd but don't feel like I can take resto affinity as the talents seem to synergize better with guardian aff (sotw/hotw).

I have 0 experience with retail but trying it out. Was into classic hard but burnt out and quit. My spec was basically solo pvp kite, it was either 30/0/21 or 20/0/31. Balance and resto. I just can’t figure out a retail equivalent. The idea is I want to kite, root, slow kill, and be unkillable with heals. That was the classic way. Any tips on where to go in retail to play a similar style? I’m guessing just go resto with some helpful solo pvp talents?

You can kitty weave as a healer and it does ok damage, and helps out in Arenas and M+

A resto druid speced with feral affinity (Your level 30 row choice) can bet quite lethal... now keep in mind that I am assuming since you are from classic you are generally speaking not arenas, etc.

You could do quite well like that but it's not the same as classic

you won't do as much damage and prepatch is kinda nuts right now so it's not a good gauge on how it will be once we get to 60, etc. in SL.

It's hard to say how it will pan out in SL regular game once we are at 60 and have gear and covenents and such

But it's quite potent to do that in 8.3 I mean you won't do a ton of damage but you will be very hard to kill and can wear people down though it was not as easy near the end with the amount of self healing on just about everyone
