Hi all, I main a paladin but have dabbled in druid a bit. I have always found druid very fun but reluctant to play as people always say how feral is trash.

I wanted to ask. How is resto druid in comparison to holy pally? I know it's harder to play but I'm assuming it's the stronger healer?

Also what is the state of feral? Is it gear dependent where I have to be heroic/mythic raiding to be viable? And does it rank stronger than Ret Pala?

Bearing in mind especially for feral I'd be playing twos in lfg so don't know if it's also comp limited with specific healers only.

on the other hand i think feral is in a better spot than ret

but feral atm requires a fair bit of gear

you can play some double dps comps for sure with feral, but ud have an easier time climbing with a disc or an hpal for example

The "issue" you'll find with feral is that your defensives have to always be preemptive, very different from pala. Resto still can barkskin while stunned, like hpala wall, but if you have no hots on yourself preemptively, and aren't in bear form, you can still drop very low and possibly die through to physical damage since you aren't plate armor.

It's just different design, and if you get used to it, you're for the most part harder to kill as any druid spec than as hpal or ret honestly
