as a fellow boomy i can easily say it's rough in arena because boomy doesn't do meaningful damage until dampening. The problem is boomy usually gets trained so much so that they die before dampening.
Like it can work, but playing boomy in arena is like putting your dick into a vise.
Just play resto, it's way easier and less frustrating, especially if you are new.

@harsh ore consider adapting your build based on enemy comps that have burst potential. Rogue/priest likes to snipe rdruids, so CnS major with bear aff is a reasonable thought. Play defensive in the matchup, make it hard for them to get a proper go, where the priest and the rogue can fire simultaneously. Against monks, sv hunters and mage/rogue, bear aff is always a reasonable pick. Also, in my experience, haste/mastery focus is not BiS anymore. I‘d never go into the arena with under 10% vers anymore, regardless of matchup. My current stats are 26% haste, 15% mastery and 17% vers. Plays smoother than you‘d think and does remarkable damage as well
Also, i have no IS or Mind Flay. Had no luck so far but if your DPS has it, it‘s ok to 2,4

I just had the coolest wpvp 1v1 vs a DH
I see her flying down in Val'sharah to attack me chilling on the middle shelf of a waterfall
I stealth and hit her with rake before she can detect me.
Combat commences, (I hit her with rip, she eye beams me etc), and it's looking very even so far.
after I hit her with bleeds again - we're both half health - I jump into the pools below from the waterfall, adding a rejuvenation right after jumping
she thinks she's made me run
but in truth I've trapped her on the middle ring of this waterfall, bleeding, while I am out of combat without any bleeds.
I fly up to hit her, and quickly stealth + rake again before she can mount up.
All of my cooldowns are back, but so are hers.
at this point my maim 'extra damage' procs
and I interrupt her as she begins to eye beam the 2nd time/
A few more rounds, and she knows she's lost, so she jumps off the waterfall towards dry land, such that if I follow her, I take falling damage that she wouldn't, given her wings
but she didn't count on stag wild charge
I jump to what would have been my death, but before I hit the ground, I wild charge toward her, moonfire twice (stag form and cat form), shred twice, and finish her off with a bite.
