New to feeding and I wanted to check if anyone uses PingStation receivers in place of an SDR. I have access to several PingStation 1/2 devices I could use and wanted to check this avenue before purchasing new hardware.
A follow-on question is if anyone has had any issues running liveATC code with a VHF scanner on the same Pi that is feeding ADS-B. I'm at an airport and would like to feed/stream both. Thanks!
#Using uAvionix PingStation receiver with a Pi

At $3,200 per receiver, I would say go for it if you have access. That seems way out of range for those of us who purchase and operate our own equipment though.
I'm not aware of anyone using pingStation for ADSBx feeding. It wouldn't be a simple drop-in. It might be possible to engineer some sort of integration, but I don't think there'd be any support for it here. You'd still need a Pi (or other Linux device) to run the feeder on anyway, so you'd just be saving the cost of the SDR (and maybe antenna?) It could be a fun project, but if you want something that "just works", I wouldn't recommend it.
