Hello Devs,

I love this game, and everything it offers thus far. I’ve imagined something like this for a long time and when I see this? It was love at first sight.

Played over the last few days and here’s a few things I’d love to see:

  1. The ability for players to control zones, checkpoints and others, now I know that there are Marauder trains in the works, but on Titans, beside the conductor, being a passive role, it seems there isn’t much else to do “endgame”, I actually much preferred being in the rear as opposed to this, purely due to the livelihood.

2, In game faction/Party tags, wanna know who’s pumped ye? and wanna know who their mates are? well this would be the next best thing! Ideally, this would also allow my above suggestion to be intertwined, allowing for lore to spread throughout the train and for people to be aware of what and who is up ahead.

  1. I think something else that would be an amazing addition, would be player vendors, in turn with these faction controlled zones, say you wanna build a house in one of these zones.. and you want to live peacefully? we’ll leave it up to the people in charge! You should be able to just settle down, and passersby can come and barter! This would allow for a spread of resources up and down the train… not to mention - Allowing those beautiful turrets to be put to good use by those who upset the overlords of the carriage!

This also allows those who have a more PVE play style, to work along side those that enjoy PVP.

  1. As with all the above, this one links in as well; Giving player factions jobs, the conductor needs a hand right?

Think of it like this:

Police - Making sure people are behaving
Miners/Gatherers - People to collect materials for the engine eternal
Bounty hunters - People who can go and disperse of people who are banished or have been marked…

etc etc.

I’ve beta tested FO76 among other games, and I fear this could end up similar, without the lack of actual player structure, there is little to be said for play styles, NPC’s are definitely not what i’m insinuating, but there should be more to do, even from an RP aspect or Job, like the conductor.

I think a complete player controlled zone in a faction sense wouldn't be so great. Pvp confrontations would be focused on waiting for airlock to open to fight in a designated open space, or you'd just be constantly surrounded because there would be a full clan controlling everything in the car with bed everywhere. Its a cool idea but i dont think players should be the factions that control it, rather it should be nps

I think it would just call for the gameplay to be more complex… i.e smoke grenades, potential tunnels?

Either way, having a “control point” where your faction could claim it, even for an interval etc, would be great.

furthermore, at the very least, having Party Tags, or Faction Tags would be great.

not sure if Maurauder trains are supposed to be permanent shared bases, but having the ability to jump off with your group and go into a shared base, with your train docked would be sick.

Maybe like something on the rails, that elevates and swallows your train, then that way you can leave via a hatch into a shared area. Means you can share resources, items, builds, can plan raids etc
