At the moment Farming is the best way to make money, and its not even close, but in saying that it also takes hours of prep time to receive this amount.

every Tier of plant Requires more and more soil not just 1 maybe double every Tier.
requires more than 1 to make soil with most things, mainly mushrooms and roaches as you can get infinite of them easily.
Resources required to make farming machines should cost a lot more.
Plants will upgrade to a higher Tier if given enough Fertilizer
you can pick up plants when ever not just before the default 5-10 minutes
Plants don't require anything to start making fruit but will give something random like a leaf and fruit with a higher chance to make a leaf like 1-4 keep in mind it would be a lot faster than what it is now so it balances out.
