#why does my model has missing layer when i upscale it? (first image is 1250% and second is 400%)

i bet it's because of the mouth?
whatever the orientation i try to print on it does not slice the face correctly when upscaled..
so i just got rid of the insides, but id like to know if there was another easier solution like a checkbox for a setting somewhere lol
you need to enlarge it in a 3d design program and write it as another .stl
even 400% is a stretch, 1250 % is insane
Orca slicer doesn't import STL files and even when enlarged in blender it had problems slicing because of the intersecting object inside the head eg; the eyes mouth tongue teeth
this is because the object has flaws. unless there are specific tolerances, scaling up is never an issue
3d models not made for 3d printing in mind have such common problems like non manifold edges and intersecting faces
I use Lightwave, because i know it, i then use accutrans to convert to .stl, which i run through autodesk netfabb (free) to rectify things like non manifold and overlaps. then i load it in orca (add button) or i use 3DS Max which i also know to work with, on a 3 year student license. (also free).
If i didn't have the experience with Lightwave, i would use Blender, i'm just too lazy and old to start from scratch and learning to operate a 3d design program.
The reasons I choosed blender was 1, free or open source solution, and 2, rendering capabilities for having full control over a scene to make previews so I don't need an IRL studio that would cost a bit for making pro-like photos
exactly why i choose lightwave, i already had it, through my job, so to me it was free and i knew how to work with it.the only reason for me not to switch to Blender is the learning curve. starting from scratch isn't an option when you are 67.( you'll be dead most likely before you get proficient with blender) 😀
