The friendly fire damage removed from the game serves to do nothing but put training wheels on mechanics people should control.
The same with mutual effects from limbs like debilitating or beneficial effects via proximity and contact.
__ It has introduced an unnatural way to address a natural concern with magical immunities that should of been chalked up to a skill issue, double edge swords are needed in gameplay to enrich the experience and promote thought not dumb down a game that perceives itself to be competetive __
The following limbs/effects should affect all players friend or foe, some of them were removed to put Training Wheels on community use who griefed through poor gameplay or complained through being collateral damage to their applications from themselves and other players.
- Explosive Damage (Tripmines, Bouncebombs, Javelina, Skunkpaw detonation and Thumpers)
- Skunkpaw Poison should poison everyone apart from user
- Burn damage should affect all (Phosfur Fury, Slugger ignition)
- Slugger effects should hit team
- Slamfist friendly fire (yeah I said it)
- Paralyzer EMP effect should affect every player apart from user
- Shield Reflection Damage hits teamates too (you should be in the front anyway not behind team)
- Painkilla heals and revival effects heal and revive enemies too but only highlight on map for friendly units
- Fall Damage/Wall collision (Uncontrolled stun landings, high momentum direct downward landing, High Speed directional wall collision)
- And this is a stretch but Friendly Fire for guns as well should be experimented with.
