#Player polling system for updates

TL;DR
This assumes that the majority will know wtf they are doing for the benefit of the game, the market and every other player... Not just THEMSELVES
As is proven throughout history majority rule only works in small communities.. and amongst the highly educated and intelligent... a majority of kids n ignorant, corrupt, toxic and belligerent would cause "democracy" to fail.. i like the level req.. shows they played the game enough to maybe know something bout something but I don't think 25 hours and 300 level are equivalent.. took me over 500 hours to get level 300 XD
70% is a supermajority... It is very unlikely that that many would agree on a change when we cant even agree (very often, mostly with annoying af metas) on what the next buff or nerf should be...
I do wholeheartedly support the idea that the developers should listen to the community, however, you should realize even if this was implemented it would probly be considered NONbinding... As the suggestions thread clearly is XD a circus maximus
It would be up to the team whether or not they would follow along with it...
A good idea in theory but im not sure it could pass the irl sniff test... Normally I would just say let them cook, but them cooking has led to this severe decline in player base... And too many cooks spoil the broth...
well it works for runescape
There’s this particular group of players that controls the narrative . If it doesn’t work in their favor you won’t see it added in game
say an "elite" group ?? XD
Pro Day Ones . They Control Everything and most all for self not the betterment of the game
A microcosm of the world at large
lol 100% , All For Domination
Just proves my TLDR even more poignant
The superb vocabulary 🤣
I mean if the current system was working the player retention would be higher but a lot currently not playing due to changes so you can compare apple and oranges all day long
I'm actually agreeing with you.. but the point remains runescape and otg are completely different...
And I doubt it's the changes so much as it is the lack of transparency and communication.. skill gaps, and buggy as hell. Small team... reductive to put it to one issue
as well as other games released thatre also not comparable
I'm still playing despite how much I hate some of the changes..
Ahhh thought you were saying you can’t compare the two; I do agree their totally different but I think an in game polling system would at least show what people want.
Though Devs do get the final say and that’s things that of course won’t be polled but I think it just will show an overall vibe on what is working and what isn’t
Also as I’ve seen in general; discord is predominately PC players so we also get the views from console players etc
