I had a conversation with a respected otg community member about collecting Alpha badges. He said it was like being a poser if a person buys and rep the Alpha badges. Look i dont go around claiming im the one who earned the badge, I do honor those that sold it and I believe being an nft and the 1st badge it was meant for collectors to purchase and own them, otherwise that would not be an option. In my opinion I collect badges for value thats my thing and i will continueto collect. What do you think. Besides it's not like im taking your soul. @mild magnet @outer stone @void meteor @prime zealot @radiant dune @stark orbit @gritty root @little condor

there are a couple things that could add worth to an item:

  1. Utility: can it be used?
  2. Flex: can you shine with it?
  3. Scarcity: total Supply of this item.
  4. Demand: How many people want the item?

All of this should be considered to determine worth of an Item.

Supply/demand is always important and then the Collector part and Utility as well

The scarcity play is true, but everything is supply and demand. Without demand there has to be some utility unlocked.

I do think it is a way to commemorate player journeys. There could be further utility unlocked in the future?
One change I would advocate for in the future is the minting of badges with the players name on it - then it becomes more like a trading card which I feel would be positive.

Remember Cryptopunks, Bored Ape Yaht Club, and many others are just profile pics. The popularity of otg will drive the value of these badges and PFPs. When off the grid becomes what it is destined to become, everyone will want the rarest profile pics to own as their personal collector clique to show off or flex across all of social media and they will want The badges to rep their statistics in game. This is bigger than just just otg game, this is the otg world 🌎 taking over the gaming industry and these badges and pfps are going to be the symbol. 💯♣️
