Ranked changing regions

I propose for ranked to have a region change every few hours to what the data shows as peak server activity, rotating between Firefly, CBS and Copper, so we can have full lobbies, and can play ranked without waiting in 6 minutes queue for a 9 player lobby without resorting to queueing with someone from another region or using a VPN.

No, absolutely not. I have been having no issues getting games on cbs and copper. With that being said allow the feature to change servers like everyone used to be able to do. Don’t limit NA players who can only play ranked on NA servers at (certain) times of the day. That will destroy the whole purpose of bringing ranked to the game.

Or they can just open up the servers to everyone. I'd rather wait in queue than play on high ping servers

Completely agree with this, this will allow the lobbies to be stacked and will be especially important as the top players get higher and higher in rank

There should be a players choice, if someone wants to play with 150-200 ping its up to him, but forcing will not lead to anything good

ranked games right now are not even ranked, playing 1 teaam that can shoot back per match is less competitive than what we had before the update

People acting as the ones that have given the suggestion are not in an disadvantage due to the high ping aswell but atleast they have the dignity to make it harder for themselves and play on higher ping just to face real players in search of a solution to a low playerbase. Its a great idea and anyone who thinks killing bots > higher ping you might get a silly fake title but you’re a forever bronze caliber. Anyways good idea

That’s insane because I was in some of there matches. One game there was not a lot of teams but then I switched to cbs and had 24 people and the rest were bots

Playing on a rotation with higher ping seems like a manageable sacrifice while building a stable player base. It also seems to be the only solution at the moment to avoid having each server stuck with 9 players. Agree

I agree but isn't it obvious that this forcing will make more people to stop playing? I understand why you guys want it, but it will not work this way. OTG needs to get more players and that's the only proper way. People who want to play ranked without long waits and with normally filled lobby whould be able to change the server, others who will be forced to play like this most likely just will not play during the time of different server, or will go play casual. Is this rly what you want? Idk

yea this idea is dumb. No one likes forced high ping. I would like to choose if I want that. Imagine being a new player and trying ranked. What would be more annoying? Laggy game that looks janky and broken or more bots in lobby?

I dont care about the title, I just don't want OTG to look janky for new players. This game literally breaks down past 300ping. It's not just about lag to hit register, nothing works, jetpacks, wall jumps, mantle, everything breaks down. If u want better playerbase tell the devs to stop attacking the skillgap and catering to every single bullcrap players are suggesting. Listening too much to feedback can hurt a game too.

I agree trying to grind rank for hours in NA does not fill up with real people 1 out of 10 matches maybe more the one team will join up at peak hours but for a degenerate like me that stays up till the sun come up the lobby’s are dead force everyone to play together is the best way to solve this it’s just like when we play for the Flaw tournaments we all play on the same server regardless of ping and it’s always a great time with lobby’s that are truly competitive

i dont agree with this. there are plenty of good teams to fight throughout the day as a competitive player i get enough good games in that i am fine with the not always full lobbies and 3-5 minute queues. if this game retains and gains players then i dont want it to be some 10 hours a week of me being able to play at all. there more players that play now then theres been in months, if you limit their playtime then the game will probably just die too.

What may help is if we could see player population for each server and choose to join them. People who dont wanna fight bots and dont wanna wait can join populated servers. Others can wait in limbo and fight bots. everyone wins

No tf😭 people who wants to fight bots play casual not ranked. Ranked is supposed to be hard not an easy bot grind all day getting to icon should be only for top players no casuals and making ranked hard is by making it cycles to get full lobbys and not by grind bots

I understand but we don't have enough players for proper ranked. That's the cold hard truth. For the sake of matchmaking we can also not make the game look broken for new players. Asians don't have the best internet ya know. Sprinkle in a lil bit of packet loss and game gets busted and unplayable. Instant rage quit.

Bring back payed tourneys, you'll see players return. Pay the top players for the beta test of this game. The crypto narrative doesn't work in a bear market with everyone's frikin wallet withdrawal locked.

the game should just auto put us in what region has most pop for ranked when we que (so if it’s na hours eu players is on na ping vice versa) but if either of those time zones can’t fill the lobby’s for ranked don’t let people play tbh until enough are in que that’s how ghost recon did there ranked when the servers were dead i mean que time sucks but at least it’s a honest “rank” and deserved rewards can’t give rewards to people with more time killing robots when they are the same skill as half the community playing the rank mode, rn in my eyes it’s currently the causal leaderboard grind but with numbers and a picture i feel like i can get the highest rank whenever but 1 i don’t wanna que with robots and 2 once higher ranks are achieved que times are going to sky rocket and i shouldn’t be the highest rank vs the lowest boring

They have to do something to enlarge the community. We can't wait so long for a match and find only a few people, but we can't have a high Ping of 200 either because it's unacceptable. The shots don't come in. They have to improve the servers.
