I believe removing the dash jump has significantly hurt one of the game's strongest movement mechanics.
From what I understood with all the previous limb nerfs (RR), the goal was to level the playing field by giving normal limb players tools like dashes and wall jumps to effectively counter RR users. The wall jump itself was often frustrating because it required precisely reaching the F**ing wall to initiate, which felt clunky and unreliable.
The dash beautifully solved this problem. It allowed players to dash toward a wall and seamlessly bounce off it in a way that felt slick, effortless, and natural—greatly enhancing the overall flow of movement.
Removing that interaction feels like a big step backward.
I really hope the team is involving experienced movement players in playtesting. This game is competing directly with titles like Apex Legends and Fortnite for the movement-shooter audience—not slower-paced games like Battlefield or PUBG. A meaningful skill gap in movement is a core part of the genre's identity, and preserving satisfying, high-skill techniques like dash jumping is crucial to maintaining that.

I agree with this mostly.
The game used to be the best movement shooter in any BR in 2024. They then changed air resistance and screwed everything up. Later on they changed roadrunners to be unusable. Pro Apex players used to play the game and thought it felt amazing and it could have been their main game. They catered to the casuals too much and removed movement while buffing limbs to the moon and no one had to use their weapons to kill. The pro playerbase left very quickly and have not come back.
Currently, the flying feels very janky although it should be faster and smoother. It looks faster but it feels kind of off. Dashing fixed the unusable Roadrunner problem but now they made dashes hard to use during gunfights.
Bring back the movement of the old OTG and you will see players gradually come back.

You know why some japanese game devs are superior and super popular when it comes to their games and their game mechanics? Their philosophy in game development/design is to not assume the player is a complete idiot and needs handholding and help in everything the game throws at them.
I don't understand why they removed that, or why they changed the game's movement. It was perfect in the previous patch; they just needed to nerf how quickly the dash recovered or reduce it to two charges.
Everything was fine. It's not even that high of a skill gap to dash jump. Completely unnecessary change which killed the fluidity of movement.
Might be reworking Dash with a lot of this in mind as I realised in my stubbornness that the original mechanical design from the original designer of the Dash doesn't necessarily fit OTG the way it was intended. I've made a pitch proposal and changes we're going to try internally, we want to try some stuff that'll give you guys this back plus more, just need to make sure it's not horrifically broken. Will keep you updated.
thanks for the very quick implementation, would be nice if the jump was less floaty. I like that it enables me to fly away easier but transitioning back to a slide/bunny hop is a lot harder now. Anyways good job. I appreciate the effort.
Tbh I prefer the floaty so we can fly. we can also shoot mid dash and dashing doesn't interrupt shooting which is amazing
