Hey everyone, here’s what’s happening:
On-Chain Serial Field Always Existed. Every hex has long had a Serial Number recorded on-chain; previously in-game you only saw its numeric mint ID.
UI Now Exposes Full Serial. Today’s Kill The Feed update pulls that full serial (letters + numbers) into the UI for new and migrated hexes; legacy items still show their old numeric codes.
Numeric IDs Weren’t Globally Unique. Each platform issued its own mint sequence (PC “#1,” Xbox “#1,” PS5 “#1”), so alphanumeric serials now ensure one unique ID across all platforms.
Enhanced Security & Authenticity. These unique codes prevent spoofing or duplicates and make verification foolproof.
Foundation for Future Tools. Lays groundwork for advanced inventory filters, in-game QR/code scans, and seamless cross-platform trading proofs.
Supply & Rarity Unchanged. Total supply and rarity metadata remain intact—only the identifier format changed.
