Movement got both nerfed hard and great buffs this update. The dodge mechanic is amazing. Now you can use limbs more offensively as you have the dodges as backup movement. Huge on that, my only wish regarding the dodge is to be able to shoot faster (maybe even shoot while doing the dodge, drop what yall think about that in the thread), but at least you need to be able to shoot faster while dodging. The Roadrunners pretty much got nerfed to the ground, yes it has longer duration, but that duration doesnt matter when the speed is so low and i dont agree with the "charge up speed" concept with the RRs. Really suggest a revert on that rework. The flying on the other hand is amazing, you gain a fair amount of altitude when deploying it and flying in air feels really smooth and fluid. With air movement we dont need more changes, leaning towards nerfs.

Although we still need to up the on-ground movement which took a huge hit after the RR rework. Reg air resistance I still wish for much lower-removal of it to front b-hop mechanics and more. These techs are not broken nor too strong, their achieved through skill and not "movement given to you" and that makes the game much more fun. New players have skill-full and rewarding mechanics to look forward to learning. Lets not waste the potential movement has here 🤝

You also cant cancel your slide, it has almost a second delay to it which many find really annoying. Being able to cancel fast like before was nothing strong or anything. It just made it easier to slide any direction you want etc. Not sure if it was intentional, if so what was the reasoning?

Apparently you cant use the dodge while in paralyzer area. Personally against that as para already is really strong and the dodge isnt a limb so shouldnt get disabled. Thoughts?

Fully agree! Nothing else to add, we are almost there so hopefully with next update, we get it polished. There will be always prons and cons but getting there

Why are the ziplines closed in all the buildings as well? There is only one entry per zip now that is a horrible change. Completely removes the zip games, outplay and fun with it. This also need to be reverted

Heck we should be able to shoot while on zip. Maybe not ads but using cyber limbs it’s totally logical

-what is the point of adding the dodge mechanic if you cant use it all the time? Not being able to use it while paralyzed was clearly overlooked
-i like the mechanic of gaining momentum on zip lines…but whats the point of this mechanic if you lose all of that momentum when you jump off the zip line? It should carry over.
-wall jumping seems clunky. Every other wall jump, my jetpack starts immediately and i dive straight into the ground.
-RR nerf is too much. I can understand why they wanted to adjust it, but its not viable whatsoever now.

Why are we constantly nerfing movement when thats what the majority of players love, and why the majority of players fell in love with this game 🤷🏻‍♂️😭

On top of nerfing RR, why does sliding no longer cancel it? Its like they wanted to completely destroy RR

I am glad road runners got nerf but also don't like how the super slow charge up speed. They felt like cruch items pop speed spam slide over and over 3 leaper charges and double slamfist couldn't get away hardly they seemed always be on your tail no matter how hard you cut a corner.

It shouldn't be a dead item but did need a nerf in all reality.

And yeah hopefully they allow shooting while dodging but gotta have like 40% - accuracy penalty such a jerking motion if they allow you shoot straight the randoms who just started are never going wanna play again lol

Just physically couldn't get away anyone with 2 forms of movement and rr you can have hammer heads, leapers lancers doesn't matter they will be on you the whole distance of the map took an act of God to get away

Many people say runners were OP because they were meta. They werent meta because they were op, rather the other legs being weak. Instead of removing the movement we should promote the weaker movement legs. Instead of reworking runners we couldve reworked leapers like this for example #general-chat message (not saying do exactly this or that this is the best, the meaning is to show my concept).

This way movement will keep growing, being one of the best and unique aspects of the game, making it different than all the other BRs out there. Movement is just one of many potential OTG has, lets not throw it away 🤝

The biggest RR nerf is that it doesn't speed up strafe speed (ads or not) anymore, which for me was a primary factor in adding it to a loadout.

Did notice that sliding while activated, although it doesn't cancel now, it doesn't drain your RR

-diving straight down half the time after wall jumping/initiating the jetpack

-flying is faster but your character feels heavier, less movement when flying

With the road runner nerf all pro players now look like a casual that plays twice a week, the competitive scene carry’s the twitch viewership and I imagine a bunch of top players will not play anymore and for the few that stay well no one wants to watch a pro player use cyber lancers thats just the truth to it nothing less nothing more.

Road runners need reverting!

On top of that with the road runner nerf the skill gap has decreased as there’s no crazy movement mechanics that separate a pro from a none pro resulting in nothing to work towards, there’s now lack of becoming better as a player which isn’t good at all as human beings need something to work towards, something to achieve just like anything in real life.

I completely agree. The Roadrunner really needs to go back to what it was before.
Right now it feels like a useless leg, barely moving at all.
I don’t think the game’s intention is to make items, especially arms and legs, feel irrelevant. It should be a fair system for everyone.

The new dodge is a great addition and flying feels smooth, no doubt about that.
But after the Roadrunner rework, ground movement took a massive hit.
It used to give players freedom and skill expression, now it feels like we’re stuck in slow motion.

Movement and mechanics are something you earn over time and they really show a player’s skill.
The old RR had that spirit, skill-based, fast and satisfying.

I think para preventing dodge was an attempt to keep para usable as an isolator limb. If someone paras me I can just spam dodge out of the EMP zone and I’m gone? Can you spam dodge? Haven’t played yet

I think rr ramp up speed should be decreased significantly or get rid of the ramp up completely, changing direction shouldn’t reset the ramp up either same with reloading . Paralyser shouldn’t disable the new dodge mechanic.

It’s hard to say. Do leapers have a ramp up mechanism? Assuming this refers to the deceleration or acceleration? If leapers don’t have one then I don’t think RRs need one

I like the increase in initial velocity when you start flying would like to see top speeds increased or a reduction in air resistance

When you run thru tight spaces while you have approximately 20% HP left and making a visual presentation in your head of the textures in that specific area that you’re in so you can outplay ur opponent and safely plate up to smack attackers a$$ is what made OTG gameplay system stand out from every other TPS/BR game out there.

Smooth but intriguing flow that you can catch with RR mid fight + calculated use of arms and weapons - its just perfect.

best thing in the patch is dash and roadrunner killed. there's no sweet spot for rr they're either too good or sh1t. You should stop crying about it. We're playing it for 1 year and it was the best feeling ever specially with the bunny hops but that way the other limbs were literally useless. Just buff the movement more and that's it.

I don’t need to cancel crouch cause I have to hold to crouch. Only drawback is when you want to stay in the crouch position and have to hold it

Regarding some comments in this post, yeah Dodge should be allowed inside Paralyzer zones. Zip lines floors reduced I need to test more for opinion but understand the issue. I only use them to avoid a full team chasing me.

Yeah, the paralyzer needs some work, so does BB. The animation lock in BB is absolutely busted. Despite that, utility balance and counters are definitely at their best right now, with everything having a balanced degree of viability. I think RR charge-up time should have a revert. However, I'm not sure we have tested it enough because it may have some animation cancel tech and/or timing with the dodge mechanic.

Not exactly movement related, but we should bring back using stim shot to heal hp. Especially now with the Cyberlancers. No way of surviving it.

Not a fan of how you don’t have the option to sprint or not. I think dodge should’ve been in addition to walk/sprint.

@severe torrent yes I've been saying this everywhere that was a stupid decision you should have left the Sprint alone and mapped the Dodge to a button! And I know people hate it but it makes sense that you can't use the Dodge while paralyzed.

The flying is great as i mentioned above but the jetpack burns out so fast and takes years to recharge. Make it faster/last longer please
