IMO the HUD in game looks good for DARK BACKGROUNDS. Was it built for Night mode 🤔… Is bad when background is very white / bright since info use white letters. Some shadow on them, Crop and such may help.

Regarding size, it is taking to much space on screen. Gun concept is cool but needs 50% current size. Kill feed sentence is too long for abnormal names out there (sadly they exist) plus clan Tag.

Some limb effects like recon eye are annoying in center screen..

Disclaimer: I experienced them yet, only talking for what I have seen in streams.

alright so gonna try some constructive critisim today, i will start by saying some of the UI changes arent the worst. The new flying HUD meter is a win, (attached is the old ) its got way to much going on with no info, so new minimal is better.

next is a twofer, 1 nobody is asking for curved surface, stop trying to add space through trickery.
2. the icon creates trouble not only for space in game and on mini map why add a tab above a ping that used to be color coded and then wrap that in a box. also ping and player icon can become confusing in the mix.

Major issue is the middle space, and how every 2 seconds something is crawling or scrolling through your game play. Were talking game info like warm up screen spot, or zone moving, or hextractor info all through the top, then the new crosshairs flashing and dancing, below that we get ammo, reload, ,red skulls, loot, and ending with our own limbs, all of this right down the middle is an absolute fail

idont even know what to say about this mess mission status has no reason taking up the last free space.

I will say though i like the font of the new UI and the shapes but the outcome was so bad.

There is alot of game information that you need to be successful and win until you get a few hundred hours in so the need for these updates is understood. just not at this cost

I think Custom UI is your only option for retention in the future, alot but not all of us dont even care to see our limbs, we just want the easy 3 stack name, wheres our money and plates, and maybe a mini map,

even if we broke it down into a few parts, that could be moved around

just block those off and try letting us move them or change opacity

The ui from last week wasnt the greatest either but this is borderline unplayable

the pro icon needs to go as well its not serveing any purpose and takes space, where you could have plates and back pack logo, similar to revive icon, ( put PRO in the clan tag spot untill they insert their own clan)

the aplha numeric stuff is fine for id's and even on player through out match, its ping icon is too much still, but i like not seeing an entire name over my teammate now

i dont think we need a backpack id marker in the mix ( it's on your back) and just giving us a plate icon with the number of plates on it only and not the button to press would be helpful ( thought i had 4 plates a few time when i didnt , yes skill issue )

but keep the main details, like player, cash, self revive and plate, is basic and should be grouped together, then when teammates goes down there box flashes or ids them as dead better than current.

Mission control bounties , drones etc all took up far too much space that can take priority off the left and lock in but alllow other info like loot data and in game info, loadout sales hex extration and so on to scroll through and keep it out of the middle

im not a fan of the countdown kills and remaining under the map , used to it sure, but id rather see a small hud under compass with current stats and could add more info later on

the weapon readout data is just fine i liked the old but this one is smaller and easier to read so im fine with it,

would be cool to see each of these area become a customisable feature no matter what you pick for a text or shape design , allowing us to un clutter and control our space would be a huge win for such a huge loss.

Legacy option, whoever wants the new dumpster HUD let them have it. Give us the option to have the original. The breakdown was helpful but I just think a legacy option would fix it all

Thanks,even the past ones haven't been great or and end all be all. But yea a few of us had same conversation yesterday too .

Creating a classic or legacy setting for default over new, sounds good but ya really just have to bad products not one good one. And I don't think they're going to revert this one but we might get adjustements or another "improvement" sooner than later

True you could end up with two fires but at least we’d have options while they work on better designs. I get it we are the testers and as a tester It legit hurts to look at what they’ve done.

Yea its a completed eye sore, with far to much visual clutter that takes away from the action and immersion.

They need to work on color theory more too.
There's to many shared colors between enemies. Contracts, events, and own team data, missions. Only think I've seen universal so far is the health medik revive sea green.

But red white yellow gett mixed and tossed around to easy.

also for the alpha numeric player icon on mini map, the previous triangle works better, easier to see which was team is facing, over the current rectangle.

as far as limbs, ive heard more people say they want the timer countdown back over the meter/ gauge,

the other limb complaint is telling which is left and right on ground loot, and the huge pixel corner and dark outline box

I think it's important to differentiate between UX and UI. There may be some UX improvements, like giving more info about X or moving an UI element from A to B to make it easier to scan, and I think that's fine. But the UI is simply horrible, there's no other way to say it. It's cluttered, visually distracting, it even blocks your vision in some parts. Certain elements are disproportionately big and need to be way smaller, while others are barely readable. Honestly, it's ridiculous how any creative director could ever give this a green light.

Sorry devs but this new visual style looks super tacky. The old one at least fit the tone and feel of graphics- the new one doesn't fit at all and the Hud overlay is like its just dumped on top and doesnt even blend with the game. A step backwards imo although it's always been too busy anyway

I just played another game. The team mate indicators are the worst - I can't tell who's in my team and who's not, sometimes I can't even figure out were they are currently.. it's so bad 🤣 Who had the amazing idea to always fix those indicators in the middle of the screen?!

So if you play with the sticky borders some the new player icon Is actually a win , just not on mini map.

Some player names used to take up alot of unnecessary visual space . This streams lines it down a bit and if you directly look at player icon it'll change to name. But yea play with icon border tell ya find a good spot.

Yeah tried the sticky borders thing, it helps but I’m still shooting my teammates more often than enemy players. Can’t see a thing between the crayon ui/ux. Honestly not playing the game till it’s changed. I’m no masochist

@faint wagon would considering Vertical layouts in nowadays social media (tik tok, shorts, instagram) adjust some inputs you gave already?

I hate center screen clutter for sure, wonder if it was done for vertical layouts info.

I’ll say keep if for widescreen, give more gameplay screen real-estate.

Regarding having options on turning things off on UI … meh 🫤… is important info when troubleshooting issues or reporting problems / cheaters to have the weapons and skills in screen, so I guess this request may be left in a corner… IMO of course.

I'd like to agree with you on the cheating aspect cause your partly right about having info on screen and the fees back it can give staff. But some opacity to over removal could balance that

But also if you remove the players name list . And shorten the kill feed time so you can't see who killed you along with no kill cams etc. they've kinda already proven to me they would rather aid that behavior than prevent but let's keep cheating conversations for another time. Cause we'll have a lot of accusations I'm sure.

nah i knew we where never goings back, but thats why i went this route constructive criticism is more productive to get some changes like they are willing to implement like scaling markers etc,gotta look for the middle ground between players and dcvs and have realistic requests with realistic solution's , so its a win
