This post format has been completely stolen from @sharp fossil I want to be honest on that up front.

(Some of these ideas are repeated from a previous post I made that is now deleted)

  1. Waypoint Teleport Limb Concept

    I suggest adding a Waypoint Teleport Pad Limb. Once deployed, it will place a waypoint location pad.
    This will:
    • Create a waypoint for the player to teleport back to.

How it Functions:
• On first button press the device is shot out of the arm. (The arm is now in a armed state)
• During the “armed” state at any time the player can retrigger the arm to teleport back to the waypoint pad. Once they arrive the pad is destroyed and the cooldown timer starts for the limb to reset.

Other Functions:
• The waypoint pads are not destroyed by the zone. So forgetting you left one out and triggering it can lead to a player eliminating themselves.
• Only one pad can be placed at a time by ether arm, meaning a player can a total of two waypoints armed.
The cooldown for the limb should be something like the Ghost Cooldown system

  1. Double Vision Leg Limb Concept

I suggest adding a new leg limb called Double Vision. Once deployed, a holographic version of the player becomes visible to enemies.
This will:
• Mimic whatever the player was doing when activated (i.e. If they are standing the still the hologram will just......stand there. If they are running the hologram will continue running in the same direction. Emoting so on and so forth.

How it Functions:
• On first button press the hologram version of the player is created.
• If the Hologram is shot it pings the enemy for .05 - 1 second
• The Hologram has the same active time and cool down rate as a recon drone

  1. Pym Limb Concept

I suggest adding a Shrink Ray/Gigantic Ray Limb. Once deployed, it will fire a laser ray.
This will (when it make contact with certain objects or players):
• Shrink or Grow the object or player struck by the ray.

How it Functions:
• On first button press the device is shot out of the arm. (The arm is now in a armed state)
• Use a held button function to toggle between shrink and grow.

Effects:
• A set list of static objects around the island can be effected by limb (i.e. Vehicles, Barriers, Storage Crates,....).
• If a player is shot with the grow function.
• The player grows to twice the scale and their hit box becomes twice as large.
• The player moves twice as slow
• If the player activates Roadrunners they move at normal speed
• If the player is shot with the shrink function.
• The player shrinks to half the normal size and their hitbox shrink to half as well.
• The player moves twice as fast
• If the player activates Roadrunners the Roadrunners burn out twice as fast
• The duration of the effected object or player is the same amount of time as the slugger stays active or how long the Phosphorus smoke lingers

There should be 2 shots with different rarities lowering the cooldown time and upping the effect time.
Cooldown on limb should be about the same as the Javelin

  1. Hacker Limb Concept

I suggest adding a new leg limb called Hacker. Once activated, the player will have access to the enemies POV.

This will:
• Allow the player to look First Person POV through the eyes of a spotted enemy.

How it Functions:
• Add the ability to spot target much like R6. (The target duration is only a second or two)
• While the target is spotted the player can activate
• While activated the player can see FP POV through the spotted enemies
• It has a run down timer like Roadrunners
• While watching the player can exit at any time before the run down timer ends
• The limb cooldown starts when the player leaves the watching function
• The player using the limb or their teammates must also be the ones who spotted the enemy (This seems obvious but it could get confused in code to activate on anyone who has been spotted kind and end up having like a roulette wheel of options, so you never know who you’ll be peeking in on which is a fun idea too but...)

The rundown meter and recharge meters should function about the same as roadrunners.

I can already think of some serious implications with this setup that players would not be ok with.

Movement is too high a priority and too fast for the "hacker" concept to be useful. Perhaps an arm you can use to control a drone and immobilize a target.

Well, one reason is we already have extraction point campers. They sit and wait for people to extract a hex and kill them and take it. If you have a portal to 2 extraction points and camp on a third, you’re camping 3 extraction points and I think travel time is a major part of the game.

This would pose a serious advantage to campers.

Ngl, I like the concept. I just see some very frustrating scenarios.

Imagine you got a team with all double portal arms.

I do think a similar utility to Wraith from Apex could work well as an arm limb.

I completely agree it could get frustrating. maybe limit the pad to a single TP pad. As far as people camping things, this will always be a factor for sure and I feel personally that we can't shy away from thing because someone somewhere may try to exploit it, I mean we have a limb that gives you essintally wall hacks and people have figured out a way to adapt to it. So agree it will make things harder but that may in turn be a good thing. @dim laurel you are right movement speed to very crucial, maybe it allows you to hack and overtake limbs like Recon drone and Buzzkilla and make the enemies limbs work for you instead? 🤔

I agree with not shying away from things. But this is giving campers a major advantage. Difference between not shying away and proper planning. Keep thinking of different ways a portal pad might be used or nerfed. Maybe you can’t spawn a pad in a certain amount of meters from an extractor?
