I doubt they will do that just for the characters that are in the game right now. They know people will want to see more characters with different play styles and will get bored of using the same characters with their small move sets throughout the entire game’s life cycle.

Okay I don't know why kuro games is in there wuwa is doing great and the gachha system isn't as predatory as hoyoverses genshin impact and junk, especially since they put out surveys that they aren't going to do anything about, at least kuro games listsens to their consumers but thats just my honest opinion
