but it would be nice if resources could be managed effectively. some games players can download resources as they need it and offload them when they don't, these have an initial basic resources download. it's frustrating how other games like genshin or hsr have you download everything by default. you can only offload them after. and if some players dont like several game modes within the game, they don't need to download the resources for it.

in open world games perhaps players can selectively download overworld maps as needed and chapter stories as they go through it, instead of bulk downloading everything.
