and importing with another importer means the model does not convert properly so i cant get shape key generation
Clicking import for about half the models i try literally doesnt even try to import nor does it give an error

and then sometimes it just starts working on the custom imports... but its so inconsistent that its become a bother

so does the folder name containing the model have a comma?
cause when u download from the repo and extra the zip u probably extract as the folder
that folder name is the date/time with a comma... that comma doesn't like to work

that did it, i had a feeling it was something stupid and obscure and that tracks since about half the time im too lazy to rename my download since im just going to move them into my other folders after i fix everything

I make it habit to extract the items out of the zipper folders unless the zip was done wrong
instead of extract the zip as is
