In regards to 5 bar pokemon, utilizing the 4 bar increase from the premium biscuit feels pretty bad leaving them on 1 bar (and can drain a lot of biscuits completing these).

Is there an 'optimal' way to use premium biscuits?

We don’t leave them at one bar. We feed them a poke to complete the catch

Feed the poke first since it might crit

I always wonder if I'd rather the poke crit or the premium crit. At least if premium crit you save a poke. Whereas if poke crit you need another two and risk not catching it

I suppose so but I don’t mind waiting til the next time I see it. Now that I’m low on poke I tend to use the premium->poke myself
