Hello I’m experiencing an issue in the game. There is a button/object inside the game that I cannot press or interact with. It doesn’t respond at all when I try to click/tap it. I have already tried restarting the game and checking my connection, but the problem is still there. Could you please help me fix this issue?

I do have a wireless controller but it’s not on it’s off I play with the keyboard and mouse and I do use headset but that shouldn’t be an issue

You can if you’d like - but the issue is most often linked to controllers & such.
Wireless keyboards, mouse & etc.
Can you make sure the files are properly downloaded on Steam ?

Hello ,im not sure if this is a bug or what but i cant do the quest i was hoping the relog can fix it but didnt ,im stuck in it for 5days
My dog doesn't poop.
I've never picked up any poop, not even once. Also, a lot of times, in both my devices (computer and phone) I can't see the options above my cat's head. Sometimes I can't finish my missions or feed the cat, cause the options for it just won't appear. When this happens, I try to reload the game or restart my phone (or computer) and sometimes it works but only for the cat problem. I've also cleaned the cache and reinstalled the app, but both of the problems (cat and dog) persists in all of my devices.
Oh this quest was difficult to complete. It took me around 3 or 4 days too. I tried literally every fish, cat fish jerky and universal food. My cat’s favourite food ended up being regular cat food. I heard it changes every day as well but I can’t confirm this.
Just gonna bump this. I do not have emulator, bluestacks or anything. Im terrified of getting banned😭
is this quest about my cat or the cat named stella? i was so confused what cat i need to feed
Have you tried restarting your PC ? Probably right ?
In this case, I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
This quest will be about feeding your cat their favourite food.

When you don’t see interaction bubbles on top of your cat, you can try entering
for a few seconds and exiting it. Then approach your cat again and the interaction bubbles should appear. 
Yes, I do take him for walks. My friend says her dog poops all the time. I have mine for a while now and Ive never seen it happening, I have never even made the handmade fertilizer.

I’ve successfully fed my dog the same fav food multiple days in a row, so I’m not sure that the part about it changing is true

Mine rarely poops too, but I noticed that if I take it into certain areas, I can’t see when it poops. The ❗ above it’s head can mean it pooped and wants you to know, but sometimes it just means it saw something interesting, so it’s hard to tell. Maybe try going in circles around the outside of your house? The first time I saw it pooping, it was because we were right at home and I could see it clearly
The only other thing I can recommend would be to try connecting to the game with a different Internet connection ( even though yours is completely fine ) to see if it lets you click those buttons and lets you through.

Mine never did it not even once, but ill try to do what you said and try to observe more... if it doesnt work ill talk to support

Guys, who knows how an cat automatic feeder works? I filled it up completely. The food is gradually disappearing, but the cats are always hungry
The pets don’t really like the feeder, it takes time for them to warm up to it. I saw a tip from a player in #gameplay-help (which is where questions like this are more easily answered) that said to use cat food and not universal food, but regardless, they don’t really care for it. It’s more effective to manually feed your pets in the short term
I need help with the feed the cat her favorite food quest like what do I do, how to I know what to feed her when you can only the feed the cat like twice a day.

The only way to find out is to feed your cat one thing at a time, and see which one it loves. (Eg feed it one sardine, then after it finished eating, feed it one chub, etc) A pop up will appear when it eats its favorite food
This is a process that takes a long time because there are so many possible foods it can eat
I only recently found my dog’s fav food, and I have a potential favorite food for one of my cats because it appeared when I fed it multiple things at once, but I haven’t narrowed it down to which specifically yet, and I’ve been playing since the international version released in beginning of Jan 😔

I am, I just started trying it today and fed the cat as soon as I got home but it never said it was completed. I thought maybe the cat wasn’t close enough to the house and I would try again, but the cat hasn’t lost any of its fullness the entire day, so I haven’t been able to

Did you try all of the options posted ? Including the VPN ( Proton - which is free ) ? The VPN is the option that has been working almost every single time and most players are using it to access the game until there is an actual fix. 
I felt like an old woman... I'll look it up here.
It worked! I didn't know how to configure it, so I just turned it on. The ping is extremely high, but I managed to log in! I'll configure it here and I hope that solves it! Thank you!

Did you just reach level27? There’s a display glitch with the call that introduces the research lab, you should be able to skip the dialogue and follow the quest

I'm having a couple of issues.
- When holding the watering can or seeds, it will auto set to do three instead of the single option and won't revert back.
- When holding the fishing rod, I am unable to move around or move the toggle to cast where I need it to.
- When holding the bug catcher it auto sets to behind my character and I can't toggle it to another position.
Thankful that they fix the cats going on the roof but can we fix them going under the house?

They really need to fix the gacha system. Way too many duplicates. You shouldn't be getting to 200 spins and only getting duplicates when there's only 4 unopened items left. And still no pool smh

My character keeps auto running on his own in a circle
I had spun for both the ice and fairy and got many of the eyes, ears, and winged eye thing. I gave up. I only get the eyes and ears most of all.
I feel like I got a decent amount in the ice event but this fairy event is really messed up haha I just spun another 20 times and only got a book writing desk 🤧
Are you on PC? Can you check if there are any controllers plugged in, and unplug them if there are? This can include bluetooth devices like headsets
Can you check this post and see if the tips here help? The game’s optimization isn’t good, so even if you have good internet, it sometimes has trouble finding the network
Can you try unplugging the headset and see if anything changes? May need to reboot the game

Are you playing on PC? This usually happens because the game is detective a controller or bluetooth device that’s trying to take over. The game isn’t controller-supported, so these bugs occur.
Please check to see if there are any controllers plugged in, including Bluetooth devices like headsets, and disconnect them first. If a reboot doesn’t fix the issue, try the steps in the screenshot below:

Yeah, switching to a different network (eg wifi -> LTE) has worked for a lot of people, and then you can switch back once it’s connected
The lag is absolutely awful. It never used to be like this, but just recently started within the last week. It is almost like its not optimized properly. 
Things I have tried that did not fix the lagging.
Am not on WiFi/Hot Spot

Uninstalling/Re-installing
Restarting PC

every device reacts differently to the game, so one person may get a lot of bugs while others run smoothly
can you try loading into a town with less people, and see if that helps? wondering if that might help if there's less houses that need to be loaded in. my game started lagging badly due to the new event, so there might just be too many assets being loaded 😔

Omg, have you tried using a VPN? I was in the same situation, but I installed Proton and it worked!
Well, if your problem was a "login timeout," I think a VPN would help, but if it was for another reason, I don't know how I can help you.
Can they fix the pet bugs? I can’t feed one of my cats at all because it keeps going into the fish tank or go underground 😭

can you describe what you were doing before you received the violation? what do you mean by using the color blue?
Every time I turn these stairs blues I get it haha it’s the first time it’s ever done it
cats are intended to be allowed to go through furniture etc, and they lock on to anything that is a 'ground' or 'floor' piece, so if your house is slightly elevated, it means your cat can go underneath
if you can't reach them because they're in an area that isn't accessible to you, you can try:
- going into build mode for a few seconds, moving a piece of furniture, then save and exiting, or
- switching to a different town
this is a temporary fix, but it should reset both of your positions to the front of your house, which will allow you to interact with them
if they're inside your roof, you can try removing the ceiling tile from underneath them to mame them drop down, or build yourself roof access so you can go up to where it is, etc
umm yh just now with tech support figurd out the browser i was using wouldn't let me log in so i had to make google chrome my default

I understand glitching during interaction tho (like when you play w cats and they have to walk a little away from you for the interaction but there's a furniture nearby) but when they're just walking around I feel like we can just get rid of that.

No it’s just blue and on the stairs I did the ceilings and walls worked just fine
please check your warehouse for the recipe, overflow items go there. to access your warehouse, open your backpack, then go to the warehouse tab (has a house on it instead of a backpack)

the warning you got says that it reset the painting violation. do you have to redo the blue every time?

Bug the level up is to low going faster then usal i know not suppose be 50 to level 18
You can only level up thru 5 quests a day it's a slow paced game. You level up the same rate as everyone else you can only grind for leveling up hobbies.
Hello, I have downloaded the game on my laptop last night through Taptap and used the same email that I have used on my phone which last night also broke it was already at DG level 17 however it restarted the progress although I have used the same server which UTC+8 and I got a new phone it also restarted my progress I do not know what to do, did you guys have a similar experience like this?

50 is correct for level 15, you only needed 40 medals for level 14

This happens to pets when they glitch on an action, as a temporary fix you can switch towns like I mentioned in the previous message, or you can go into build mode for a few seconds, move a piece of furniture, and save and exit. Either of these should fix the glitch, but it will happen again whenever the pet does the same thing that caused the glitch

Can you check to see if you have any controllers plugged in, and unplug them if there are? Not being able to move is a common bug caused by the game not being controller supported. This can even include Bluetooth devices that the game detects as a controller, like headsets
RE: quests disappearing during tea party
This is expected behavior, you can't see your normal quest list when you're inside of a party/event (eg if you join the fishing event, you won't be able to see your normal quest list either). The quests are still there, the UI is just hidden

Looks like you might have encountered a glitch? the pet has glitched on an action/furniture, which causes the bubbles to not appear
as a temporary fix, you can:
- go into build mode for a few seconds, move a piece of furniture, then save and exit, or
- switch towns
this should reset whatever action your cat was glitched on, or reset both of your positions to the front of the plot (which has the same effect)

you can see how many contribution medals you have using the green bar on the bottom of the DG member screen (your second screenshot)
to get more medals, complete the daily quests. you can click on that quest text to see what other quests you have at the moment as well, or go to your watch and click 'memo' -- based on your first screenshot, you still have one daily quest you can do, which should get you 10 medals, and you might have a gossip quest somewhere in town that i think can get you the other 5? if you check your map, any NPCs that have an orange check on them are ones that have a quest you can complete.

a lot of people were successful with using a different type of Internet connection just for log-in purposes, eg:
- a different WiFi
- 5G, LTE
- Cellphone data / hotspot
- VPN
once you get into the game, you can switch back to your normal internet connection
as far as i can remember, i don't think it does, but you can probably look in the nearest water/mirror in-game for confirmation

There is a daily reset but that is simply to refresh what is in the shops and to refresh the quests, which is all normal and doesn’t affect your account negatively.

A lot of players here are using Proton ( which is free ) for now, until the game functions better / gets patched for all of these issues.
I can't use a VPN because I have a wired internet connection.
You can still use a VPN on a wired connection

You can try to restart your computer again, to see if that helps but really the best solution would be to use a VPN since that’s helping everyone else until the developers fix these connection issues for players.

hi ! i've been having some issues with the chat and i don't know if it's something i can fix or if it's a bug so i wanted to ask here first. When i click on the chat icon at the bottom left in heartopia nothing happens and same when clicking enter. if the friend type first i can click on their bubble and chat or with the coffee stand too but i can't start the conversation otherwise. I tried opening from steam directly, i tried without steam, tried logging in and out, even downloading the game from the official website but it still doesn't work and i wanted to know if someone knew how to fix this issue before i report it as a bug

This is a bug that others have experienced too. If you have some time, definitely report it to Customer Support so they can remain aware of this on-going issue.
A couple of quick-fixes that you can try, if you haven’t already, include:
Restarting your PC / device.
Verify the integrity of the files on Steam ( if you need help, ask me ).
Open the game and on the login screen press on the button with a wrench called Repair.
Uninstall and reinstall.

As for cats being in the way of cooking, it’s affecting many players. You can reach out to Customer Support to let them know this is happening and interrupting gameplay.

When you first start the game it asks you to select between the feminine outfit and a more masculine one.
It seems you selected the feminine one. I don't think you can change it.
But the game doesn't distinguish gender so male character can wear fem clothes.

Proton is free and almost everyone here ( with issues ) is using it now since it’s the only solution to a lot of many different problems.
The white screen issue is a tough one that currently has no solution
that’s something the developers need to provide a fix / work on.

At this point the only other option would be to try it on TapTap or another device ( phone, tablet ). The game is still being worked on for PC / Steam.

When they are stuck under the floor, a couple of options would be to either change towns manually or go into
to move stuff around to reset their positioning.
To change towns manually you can do the following:
Go to the title screen / login screen.
Next to the START button, press on 
Press on All Towns and select a random one to join.
When there are no interaction bubbles, the quickest temporary fix would be to go into
for a few seconds and then exit. Approach your cat again and the bubbles should be available. If you have multiple cats, you may need to do this more than once.

Everytime I attempt to play Heartopia on my pc its so laggy that i can barely move.. Any idea on why this might be the case? I really would like to play on pc too 
Also, My task bar won't show up when im playing Heartopia on pc either and thats kinda essential for me..
The game needs work in terms of optimization for platforms like PC ( Steam, TapTap ). I’m sure the developers are planning on working on this because it’s currently affecting many, many players.
What you can do in the mean time is restart your PC to see if that helps in any way. If it doesn’t, you’ll want to simply try a different Internet connection until things improve.
Things you can try just to enter a town ( and then switch back to your regular WiFi ) includes:
Restarting your router
Manually forgetting your WiFi and manually reconnecting to it
Using a different WiFi
5G, LTE
Cellphone data / hotspot
VPN ( most players are using Proton which is free )

I'm sorry for bothering youg guys. But my friend has been struggling with this glitch for days... They sent me this video. I'm pretty sure they only but 1-3 items from that area but somehow not only most of the items are sold out, the items that being shown is different with the item at the... pop up? Can your friend try repairing their game files ? This can be done on the login screen ( before entering a town ). In the corner on the right there is a button called Repair

On Windows 11 you click on Settings in the Start menu, and on the left-hand side you should see Time and Language and then click on Date and Time
Ooh I understand. It’s a common bug.
All you would have to do at that point is just switch Internet connections to be able to get back into the game. Once in the game you can switch back to your regular WiFi.

You’ll be able to adopt a pet once you learn the hobby ( Cat caring and dog caring ). This happens around D.G. Level 12 . It’s the last hobby you will learn, so please make sure to learn all of the other hobbies first.
Complete all your “ main story “ quests and do all of your daily resident requests. 
You can level up your hobbies by practicing them. So for cooking, all you need to do is cook foods and gain EXP until you fill up the bar. You can find the EXP bar by opening up your watch
and going to Hobby
. Press on the hobby you wish to view.

You would need to change the height and width of the window manually. You can do so by following these steps.
Personally, I haven’t had this issue. Usually when the user interface disappears we recommend restarting your game entirely. If that doesn’t help, then restart your device / PC. 
I was having the same problem so I restarted my IPad. I came back and now my screen keeps going completely blue. I exited again and now my backpack and stuff is gone again. 🙁

there are several building modes available ( solo bulding, co-building and blueprints ). It’s not entirely like other games, but you can use different views ( ex: bird’s eye view ) and modes to build.

Hi, I need help with my game on steam. I used to be able to play it, but now i can't launch it. I kept getting this pop up when I try to launch the game eventhough i still have 100gb of free space. I've tried reinstalling the game but it still doesnt launch.
So a while ago a Staff member confirmed that updates would be going to the C: Drive so you would need to make at least 5 GB of space available there.

for a few seconds and then exit it. Approach your cat again and the interaction bubbles should appear again. If you have multiple cats, you may have to repeat this more than once.

Help!! I just logged on and for some reason I have -942 hearts. It won’t let me plant seeds, or use the chat feature 🙁 what’s going on. It was working last night
I’m sure this is a universal issue but it’s getting tiring. Everytime i’m trying to cook the pet ALWAYS gets in the way so it stops me from adjusting the stove or trying to grab cooked meals from the oven so it ALWAYS ends up being burnt to ashes. Also trying to find your cat and it keeps vanishing onto the roof. I don’t bother levelling up with it but wish i could board it and get rid of it

It can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. 
I would wait a bit longer to see if it continues loading.

I have disconnected every single thing from the Bluetooth plus the controll is off the only thing I have connected is the headset and plus I tried disconnecting the controllers from the steam controller setting but when I do my character walks by itself to the left 😭 I’m going crazy I want to play on the pc so bad it runs perfect on the pc but as soon I pull the fishing rod that’s it I’m frozen
Is there any specific reason to why heartopia refuses to work on PC as of late? I've been trying for days to get the game to work it either refuses to load, continuously disconnects and freezes or has false connection errors when I first started playing it worked perfectly but lately it hasn't at all and I've reinstalled the game and everything every game I play involves a wifi connection and every other game has worked with no issues except heartopia.

This happened to me when I had updated my windows laptop to the newest update, for some reason Heartopia wouldn’t load. So I uninstalled that update, and restarted my laptop, and it begun working again. Maybe this is the case for you too

When sitting at your writing desk, it’ll let you know if your book has been reviewed and accepted to be able to publish it to the community
It may take a couple hours depending on how long your book is
That’s okay if you wrote lots! I used the word limit on mine and it took about ten-eleven hours to publish

Have you participated in the one that Vanya creates themselves ? So sometimes the NPCs of events will call you to invite you to participate. When Vanya calls you to participate in the Frostspore Fish Event, you should participate in that one.
That’s how you’ll complete this.

If you aren't able to log into the game at all, you can DM the bot @twin yacht and see if a mod can get you in touch with a staff member for account deletion. Unfortunately, their support center is otherwise only accessed in the game itself.

i think you're being haunted by a ghost 
(this is likely due to the visual effects being turned low - i think you can safely report this as a bug, since even with effects being turned low, i don't think this is supposed to happen

i've noticed more lag lately, i think the event happening in the onsen area is also causing more lag along with all the fancy houses. i would try turning down each setting one at a time to see if any of them help

Yeah not just you! The game's optimization isn't good, so a lot of glitches show up even if you have a good computer / your network connection is good. It's why you might see people recommend network fixes even if it doesn't seem like the exact issue, since the problem is coming from the game itself, not from the user 😔

Anyone knows how to resovlve this one? He has good internet connection but having trouble logging in
as a temporary fix, you can either:
- switch to a new town to reset both of your positions back to the front of your house, or
- go into build mode for a few seconds, move a piece of furniture, then save and exit
eithe of these should clear out whatever action your pet glitched on, but it's only a temporary fix, so it will happen again
on the plus side, the pets can't starve to death, so they might grumble and make noise because they're hungry, and they won't let you play with them, but that's it
It's probably the game actually! The optimization isn't the best, so one of the suggestions we often give people is to just switch to a different network (WiFi -> LTE, for example) just to log in, and then switch back once you're in. Sometimes the game just needs help finding the network

@ whoever was asking about missing blueprints from their mail and deleted the message just now, they should be in your warehouse! you can access it by opening your backpack and switching to the warehouse tab, which has a house logo on it instead of the backpack

I found a bubble and popped it, but I wasn’t able to get the 14th egg. I had actually found the egg earlier and took a picture of it. However, when I popped the bubble, it didn’t give me the egg.
I checked the Fashion activity to see if the task was completed, but it wasn’t marked as done. So I went back to the egg, took another picture, and then the Fashion activity finally showed it as completed.
After that, I returned to the snowman bubble location, but it was no longer there—maybe because I already popped it. Now I don’t have the egg in my backpack.
How can I get the egg now? Please help.

There are 40 days left for the login event and the MLP event starts February 14, so you have some time to figure it out until then. I think Cloudflare might be interfering but I’m not 100% sure here. That’s probably also why it worked on your phone and not the PC.
You can try repairing your game using the button with a wrench on it (
) on the login screen. Other than this, you can also try manually changing towns to see if the bubble resets somehow.

Can you check if they were sent to your storage or mailbox ? Usually when things are missing you would want to check the following three places:
Backpack

Storage
You can check your Storage by opening up your backpack while you are at your home. ( see screenshot )

Basically the game’s optimization ( for PC especially ) is still being worked on. So sometimes when playing the game, it’ll require players to try a different Internet connection for whatever reason ( the problem is not your Internet, rather the game for the time being ).
So what you want to do is try one / all of these options to see which one lets you through into the game until there is a fix from developers.

You can walk and balance on the string lights there. 
You can start by jumping on the tent right behind you and then jump onto the string lights. Walk slowly towards the bubble and then jump to collect it.

can someone help me please. I'm trying to play heartopia in my pc but this keep happening and I tried everything. Redownloading from steam and taptap, i even bought a new windows bc i used to have windows 10 and that rebooting my pc and getting the 11 would fix the problem but it didn't. I've seen the requirements to have heartopia and app on pc and mine has everything and even above the required. I also tried watching multiple videos to see if any of them could help me and none did

The unity crash error has been around for months honestly without really a solid solution. I’m not sure what causes it. Your best bet from here would be to reach out to the Discord moderators because you can’t even reach Customer Support. 
I would suggest maybe trying the game on a different device for now until the developers or someone above acknowledges these issues.

Honestly I’m not sure. The only time I’ve seen this issue was when players purchased packs and admitted they wanted a refund or tried a chargeback. Does anyone else use your device or account ?
I even checked my bank account and there is no charges… nobody has access to it but me.

I think in this case Customer Support should give you your purchase history.
Every game tends to have it so I would be surprised if Heartopia doesn’t. Maybe you can try asking them for the time and date when these purchases were made and the payment method that was used ( if they can give out this information of course ).

I never received any form of refund for those purchases. And it still doesn’t equal the negative balance amount.
I also had a bunch of diamonds before I noticed it went negative. I had at least 50-60 heart diamonds saved up.

Does this happen to anyone else? Literally this happens with this specific cat whenever I try to interact with it, for some reason the two options to feed and interact doesn’t pop up for me. But for my dog and other cat it does.
Yes this is a bug that almost everyone is experiencing ! The fix must come from the developers themselves. In the mean time, what you can do is the following temporary fix:
Enter
for a few seconds and then exit. Approach your cat again and the interaction bubbles should appear. If you have multiple cats, you may need to repeat this more than once.

This is the new colour after the blue egg right ? If so, it will only appear after daily reset in your server. So for example, I’m in the American server and my daily reset is at 6:00 am in the game. So I have to wait until after 6:00 am to see that new egg.

That bug usually happens due to controllers not being supported, you can see if there’s any controllers plugged in, and unplug them if there are any. This can include bluetooth devices like headsets
So basically if I understand you correctly, when you go to Settings ⚙️ there is no dropdown menu in the graphics tab ?
It’s only got on tab in the dropdown and it’s 1080 and 1920 at 60 fps
Uninstall reinstall. Shut down laptop and restarted
Can you try repairing your game ? There’s a button on the login screen that has a wrench on it called Repair 
If this doesn’t work, you might want to try to switch to TapTap to see if the dropdown menu offers you different resolution sizes & FPS

I just tried that. Still nothing. I’m thinking it has to do with the new screen set up options on the iPad. I clicked their new set up… and i don’t think it’s compatible with Heartopia chat message box that usually shows up when i want to chat. Hmm..

As far as I know, there isn’t a way to manually do it except via the dropdown menu in Settings.
You can try asking Customer Support to see if they can give you an option specifically for that. Otherwise play around with your graphics settings in Settings.

Since you checked all 3 places, I would suggest repairing the files of your game. You can do this by going to the login screen and on the right side there is a button with a wrench called Repair

This keeps happening to me and I don't know what to do, even when I reopen they end up in the water and are unreachable

its not letting my watering of tomatoes count
they may be already watered, try watering your neighbours ones! 
also you can't water crops when it's currently snowing or raining. if that's the case then just wait untill it stops doing so (you can see what weather it is at your top phone widget in game)
are you sure you're friends with them? it may be a bug or they may have accidentally deleted you from friends (or you did that)
if you're sure that ur friends with that person try switching towns or rejoining, may help

if you've linked your account then your progress will fully save and nothing will happen
it'll affect your storage because you're downloading the game from another site and it'll be like you're downloading a new one. just delete taptap hato app if you have issues with your storage

Yea cat is buggy atm, u can temporarily solve this issue by going in build mode, then go out again. If not, just relog or move town will do the trick @storm nest @waxen stream
