<!-- Explain your issue in detail. Issues without proper explanation are liable to be closed by maintainers. -->
Over the last few days, I've noticed that sometimes I will become peckish, and then it will disappear seconds later. It won't return for several minutes. There are other times where, as you'll see in the clip, I'm already peckish and then jump up to starving for a moment, only to return back to feeling peckish. Again, the hunger doesn't return for several minutes. I haven't noticed the same with thirst, only hunger.
Reproduction
<!-- Include the steps to reproduce if applicable. -->
I have zero idea how to reproduce the issue, but this has happened to me a handful of times ever since the server last updated. It's happened in several different settings and contexts, so I'm pretty stumped.

Pay attention to my hunger.

Additional context
<!-- Add any other context about the problem here. Anything you think is related to the issue. -->
As I said, I only noticed this a few days ago. I'm fairly sure this started when the server was updated. Other people have mentioned this happening to them in general chat, so this isn't an isolated incident.

Hunger was made predicted upstream, and this should've been introduced in the latest upstream merge.

made predicted?

Instead of relying solely on state received from the server, the client predicts its own state, which may occasionally be incorrect. The trade off is that it can be more responsive if done well.

Ah, I see

So, upstream issue?

drifting badger

probably

sonic birch

Alrighty!

#

Close this then?

drifting badger
#

I'd leave it for now, it's really just a hunch, nothing more

sonic birch
#

Are we just waiting for upstream fix?

#

This bug is quite annoying -_-

I'll take that as a yes my bad, gross overreaction to a misinterpretation
