It should say Fabric in the bottom left corner on the main menu if you did it correctly

Then remove fabric and try reinstalling it because you must have manually done something to break the installation

You installed fabric api for minecraft 1.21.5

find the fabric api jar for 1.21.4

If youre running Minecraft 1.21.4, you need the version made for Minecraft 1.21.4
