somehow, this issue happened overnight without anything pointing to what caused it
(no added mod or changed options)
-pasting and extending selections result in a black preview (see image)
-moving arrows/rotation grabbers are gone
i won't post this in bug report for now because i'm not sure wether axiom is to blame since it had not this issue until today
