Hmm
Yeah it definitely has rumble on my end so maybe it's a sdl2 quirk or something
eh, keep pissino >.>
unless you want to push a script to fix it - but I have no plans to do so any time soon
Dumb question but thought I'd ask
Can we use mods in this port?
Wanted to see if maybe this could work for better fullscreen support on 640x480 devices https://gamebanana.com/mods/508514
the patcher I provided should allow you to port mods - but this is a kind of "have fun attempting it" scenario
š
It did take an hour to patch, though
And performance seems to be a bit worse in some levels
Still playable
is this finished plus can this game be able to be played with 1gb of ram?
Current test build is running on some devices with 1gb yes
Runs good on rg35xxH and trimui smart pro. There's a bit of slowdown at times. I think turning off texture filtering helps a little for performance. I cleared 4 or 5 stages
9 hours for the steam sale!
r36s - Does it work on devices with 1GB RAM?
yes. They compressed the textures so it works now on 1gb devices
Runs great on cubexx muos pixie
I bought it for $14.79 and hope it runs well.
I bought it because it said the game runs, but it doesn't work. It's r36s - AmberELEC and I also installed the runtime today.
Where can I download the files?
Do I need to reinstall?
You need to replace the patchscript and pizzatower.port file and then add your game assets again.
Is it normal for no text to appear when patching?
...no?
I deleted the existing installed files, replaced them with the uploaded patchscript, and reinstalled them, but where do I set the language settings?
Language? For ingame?
I want to change it to Korean, but it's not in the settings.\
Game doesn't support Korean then
https://www.reddit.com/r/PizzaTower/comments/1f3hi5o/how_do_i_change_the_language_in_the_new_update/
looks like its only in the main-menu
The game is extremely unstable. It slows down and even shuts down.
It's stable for the dozens of others who tested the game when we called for testers the past few months.
It's too slow to play on a 1GB gaming console and freezes frequently.
Did you test it on r36s? It's too slow and freezes often. This is a state in which the game cannot be played.
We don't support the r36s.
What are the minimum supported devices?
Is it easy to apply the 4:3 mod on this port?
I think turning off texture filtering helped performance
This happened to me, too, I got the prompt to start the patching, then nothing until it actually finished, so it did run, it just didn't show any progress for some reason (is there a --verbose option that wasn't on? I don't know, I just know that exists for a lot of Linux command line stuff)
Did you install it properly? Is your CFW configured/installed properly? Is your device an actual r36s running a supported CFW?
When thereās extensive effort by a porter to port a game, and extensive amounts of testing by multiple people on a variety of devices, you being the only one with the issue youāre describing points to a āyouā issue - not an issue with a port.
My suggestion is to confirm that thereās not an issue on your end before coming in hot and being rude to those who have put in the effort to make a game available on a wide range of devices.
I have two r36s devices, one with AmberELEC installed and the other with ArkOS installed. AmberELEC will run the game to some extent, but on ArkOS it will crash and freeze frequently.
ArkOS was downloaded and installed from the site below: https://github.com/AeolusUX/ArkOS-R3XS
AmberELEC was downloaded and installed from the site below: https://github.com/AmberELEC/AmberELEC-prerelease/releases
And for port games, we installed and tested about 200 games.
I don't know who you are, but I have never acted rudely. Rather than registering the game on the port, shouldn't you explain in detail how to use it and the precautions? I know that registering on the port is a lot of work. However, if you purchase a game and it doesn't run, who will you blame?
ArkOS uses more RAM than AmberELEC iirc, so there is even less left for running a game which leads to freeze and crashes. Also, R36s is a low end device, which is cool but you get what you pay for. Maybe, if you haven't already, try what is suggested here #1330639291122061405 message
Just as a reminder, all the ports are made available for free by our passionated contributors, so that would be a shame to blame them especially when no porter said here it will run perfectly on r36s.
h700 already struggles quite a bit, i would imagine rk3326 is hardly playable
ifts not playable on rk3326 we can exclude it š
The game you purchased on steam will run perfectly fine on steam.
How's that done in the port.json? I don't remember seeing a !rk3326 before
lowpower is rk3326 I think
I happen to be the moderator that took notice of your behavior in this thread because you are actively choosing to be rude to those who have put in effort to port this game.
The reality is that youāre using essentially the lowest end devices that are readily available, and you chose to not read through this testing and dev thread where itās mentioned several times that the chips used in the r36s struggle with this port. Despite this, and by your own admission, the porters still made it successfully run on the potato chip and shoestrings that make up the internals of the r36s. They should be congratulated for that - not knocked because youāre unhappy with the performance of your device.
so, as jeod said i downloaded the pizzatower.port and patchscript and replaced them, but the error of the teacup with "first boot failed" appeared again, did i miss something? also when patching, the only thing that does is making the text box bigger, then making it smaller, and then "patch complete"
-# last time i tried this port (like a week ago) it didnt work bc r36s performance, so just in case, im trying to run it in a r36s, if that helps
I pushed a few hotfixes that are currently live on my mirror repo but are not live on the PM app yet.
That said you can provide your patchlog.txt file and I can try to see what it hung up on.
alright, give me a moment and I'll be on it
i just installed dotnet, adding it it to portmaster/libs
Whatās it named?
dotnet-8.0.12.aarch64.squashfs
Take out the aarch64 part.
on my way
Did you install it manually?
yes, i did
Ok if it's installed through PM App it gets renamed correctly.
Manual installs don't get that.
it was manual install
File needs to be named dotnet-8.0.12.squashfs
thank you
patch running well now, thank you :3
Heh, maybe our Korean friend has a dud
rk3326 cfws usually come with some pretty bad issues with dram frequency tables and with the ondemand governor being terrible
i think they just have a standard thats too high, it doesn't runs perfectly, but i think its still good
I tested on rk3326 and performance was okay, but my device is using the correct dram freq and is set to the performance governor on dram, cpu and gpu
and I dont have an r36s - they havent sent me one nor do I plan on using my own budget to adquire one
Whoās ātheyā in this case?
whoever makes the r36s
*Game Consoieā or āData Frogā I guess
Data frog too? I thought that was sf2000
Even with the same H700 chip, would having more RAM help with running PortMaster better? I heard the RG34XXSP will come with 2GB of RAM.
there are some titles that use mmaped assets where having more mem ensures you page in and out less often
so you get a bit less stuttering
but in practice it really only matters for games that need 2gb
Thanks for the answer.
is it normal that pizza tower has no sound in the port?
You install it when you install the port, but you got the port manually.
You can get the runtime from the PM app.
How should I do that?
Open the app, go to options, pick runtimes, find dotnet from there.
Okay, thank you
Is it normal for the patching text box to be blank?
Itās not frozen.
Mama Mia, Iām in
Just did a fresh install from the PM app and I see text in the patcher gui.
Patching completes and game boots with audio.
So any who have further issues would either have manually installed or done something wrong, most likely.
\ports\pizzatower\assets\sound\Desktop
Ok that's where it should be.
so, no guesses of why it doesnt works?
Any hints in your log?
Do you magically get sound if you put the sounds folder in saves?
for me its calledsound , is it okay?
Yeah
do i put it in H:\ports\pizzatower\saves\saves or H:\ports\pizzatower\saves
Just the first saves
theres still no sound
You're using arkos on an r36s?
mhm! the aeux version
Hello there i have the same problem with the sound and im using arkos on an r36s
I wonder if the libfmod libraries arenāt loadingā¦
Itās possible that they are built for an incompatible glibc
Is it working on ArkOS on other devices?
That's what I was thinking but unless we glossed over it, the port shouldn't have passed testing in that case.
My guess is whoever reported on arkos has sound working.
having a weird issue on patchlog, idk if its me or this. RG35xx with muos attached log with error
does this for trimui smart pro?
Yeah, it did for me, but i had to set a faster cpu speed to make it run better, still playable
Great to see it works on your RG35XX-H. Could you send me a link for the pizzatower.zip you used? I used the one on portmaster.games/games, and replaced the patchscript etc. - but I'm still stuck at the loading screen around two-thirds after a suspiciously fast patching. Then the game just shuts down.
Oof, I don't remember the specifi zip I used
I think I grabbed it from https://github.com/JeodC/PortMaster-PizzaTower
Ah nvm it seems like he took it down
I didn't use anything out of the ordinary though, just my patched data.win for the 4:3 resolution
Whatever you're using should work
Ah yeah, I also got a 404 for that link - but thanks for the reply anyway. Might be the patched data.win then which keeps it from loading - haven't added it yet. Where did you find that one?
Well, I'll just stop trying then - also started over again with the files straight from the Portmaster app on the 35XX-H, with no luck. I've wasted too many hours on this by now. Thanks anyway.
I moved all that.
https://github.com/JeodC/PortMaster-Games/tree/main/ports/released/gamemakerengine/pizzatower
My ports designed for PortMaster. Linux arm64 devices. - JeodC/PortMaster-Games
there is a texture in pizza tower called spr_peppalette, my theory is that if you will exclude it from compression the game will be able to color Pissino properly
Pissino must remain yellow. At all costs.
a quick question, is the vsyn option better to leave off or on?
Does the device need to be connected to internet to do the initial patch?
Nvm, for some reason whenever I try patching it says that dotnet runtime isnāt installed, but to my knowledge I canāt install it on muOS.
Anyone know whatās goin on here?
You should have it in your downloads, just post it
You need to open the PortMaster app on your device, then go to options, then install runtimes, then install dotnet
Ah ok
Yes you need to be connected to the internet. If you can't with your device, doenload it on pc, then insert the SD that has your ports on it, open PortMaster in the ports folder, and copy yhe dot net runtime into the libs folder
Amd remove the .aarch64 from it if it's oresent
Where would the pc download be?
K
Thx
