Hello!

I’m here to share my experience of creating a PFP (Profile Picture) maker bot, despite knowing nothing about coding. This article is written to show that anyone can create their own bot on the MyShell platform, even if you aren’t familiar with coding.

Honestly, at first, I wondered if it was even possible. But with the help of MyShell's official resources, YouTube tutorials, AI assistants like GPT and Claude (large language models), and the tips from the MyShell creators' forum, I gradually learned and finally built my bot! Let me walk you through how I did it and how I ultimately completed my PFP Maker bot.

1. Getting Started - The First Steps Were Confusing

In the beginning, I had no idea where to start. So I first turned to MyShell’s official Pro Config tutorial documents and began to understand the process. These documents explained the core principles of bot creation, state management (such as home_state), and essential components like inputs and outputs.

The official MyShell YouTube channel also helped me a lot. It provided detailed explanations of how the code works, showing various examples that I could follow. I would go step by step, asking GPT and Claude to break things down line by line until it started to make sense!

2. Learning with LLMs - Asking, Requesting, and Fixing!

Just reading through the documents and watching YouTube wasn’t enough to grasp everything. That’s when I started learning alongside GPT and Claude, asking the most basic questions.

For example, “What’s the difference between {{}}, [], and {}?”, “Can you explain the example code in the official documentation line by line?”, “How does this part work?”, and “How should I fix this code?” I constantly asked questions.

To be honest, I still can’t write code by myself or fully understand every part. But thanks to LLMs, I was able to break through roadblocks and understand how things worked and how to make the necessary modifications.

Once I finished all the tutorials, I delved into the forum where experienced creators shared their tips. I analyzed these tips, fed them into the LLM, and continued to learn deeply.

From there, I started developing the workflow of the bot that I had envisioned. I communicated with the LLM to structure and improve the workflow, asking it to generate the code and then refine it together. Through this iterative process, I was able to create a bot that, while not exactly the PFP Maker I initially imagined, was something I was very satisfied with.

3. Learning from the Forum and Creators' Feedback

Another important tip is to refer to feedback from other creators in the forum. The MyShell forum is full of users who have already built various bots, and by looking at their tips, I was able to improve my bot in my own way. Whenever I encountered errors, I often found solutions in the forum, and comparing different bots also gave me inspiration for new features to add.

4. Refining My Own PFP Maker by Adjusting the Code

After establishing the basic framework, I fine-tuned the detailed options and tested how each option reflected in the images. I structured the code to freely adjust styles, characters, backgrounds, and more during the image generation process. With the help of LLMs, I repeatedly tweaked and improved the code until I got the desired results.

During this process, I added and adjusted numerous prompts and LORA (Low-Rank Adapter) models, but I’ll skip the very detailed parts in this article to keep it concise.

Conclusion

As I mentioned earlier, I still can’t fully write code on my own or understand everything. But I’ve gained the ability to grasp how things work and make necessary adjustments, thanks to LLMs.

With MyShell’s detailed tutorial documents, the creators' forum, and the help of LLMs, I was able to complete my PFP Maker bot with just a click of “do it for me!”

If I can do it, so can you! Even if you don’t know coding, you can absolutely do this. 😊953629632693940234

Since sending all the code would be too long to review, I've summarized just the prompts. You can add more as you wish.
