Wilhelm Leibniz
Wilhelm Leibniz was a German philosopher and mathematician who holds a unique place in the history of philosophy and mathematics. He started his career as a lawyer, but later on, due to his interests, he became interested in philosophy and science. Mathematically, his area of interest was theology, but he later invented calculus. He was one of the most prolific inventors of mechanical calculators and was the first to describe a windmill calculator in 1685.
