Just a brief introduction about myself: I am focusing on creating interesting, sfw bots that I also enjoy chatting with.
简单给大家介绍一下自己：我专注于制作有趣、自己也爱聊的 sfw Bot。

TLDR: I added a suggested reply feature to my character bot "Firefly" in order to enhance the potential, fun, and longevity of chatting with the bot for regular players. This feature can be implemented on both gpt-3.5 and gpt-4 models, with gpt-4 being the optimal choice. I hope everyone can embrace the better superior large language models for better interactions.

When POE first came out, the most impressive feature for me was its suggested reply function. Sometimes, I wasn't sure what specific question to ask the chatbot, but with the help of its suggested replies, I was able to clarify my thoughts. In myshell, have you ever encountered some role-playing bots, especially sfw role-playing bots? Some of these bots may seem fun, but you just don't know how to start or progress the conversation. In this case, the suggestion reply feature can come in handy. This is its first advantage: it makes it easier to start and progress the conversation. However, some improvements need to be made. After referring to the suggested reply feature provided by platforms like POE, I found that the problem options they offer to users are quite broad and the language used is also quite formal. If we were to apply them directly to a character bot, it would feel very abrupt.
POE 刚出来时，我对它印象最深的一点是它提供的建议回复功能，因为有时自己不太清楚还能对 chatbot 提出什么更具体的问题，可以借助它提供的建议回复，清晰化自己的思路。在 myshell，你可曾面对一些角色 bot ，尤其是 sfw 角色 bot，明明有些角色 bot 看着挺好玩的，但是就是不知道怎么去开头，也不知道怎么推进聊天呢？我想，这个时候，建议回复功能就可以派上用场了。这是它的第一个好处：它能起到更容易去开头、推进聊天的作用。不过得做些改进。参考过 POE 等平台提供的建议回复功能后，我发现它们提供给用户选择的问题内容都比较宽泛，语言上也比较书面化。如果拿去套用在角色 bot 上实现，突兀感会很强。

One day, I pondered for a long time until I saw myself playing the game "Honkai: Star Rail" while AFK grinding. Ah, the answer is right in this game! I don't know if there are any HSR players in myshell server. Compared to the battle process, I actually prefer its plot and writing, especially the dialogue choices. Each selectable dialogue option is different, and different dialogue choices can have a practical impact on the subsequent plot (whispering aside, in Genshin Impact, most of the dialogue choices provided are the same content). It not only gives players substantial choice rights, but also makes people laugh because of the official jokes that appear in the dialogue. Speaking of creating a character bot, the inspiration I got from the above is to provide specific suggestions for response content that not only inspire players with substantial topics but also have some contrasting options. In other words, I not only need this suggestion reply function to be practical, but I also need it to be interesting! It can also become part of the fun conversation~ This is its second benefit!
某天我思考良久，直至看到我正在挂机打怪的游戏——星穹铁道。 啊，答案就在这款游戏中呀！ 不知道 myshell 服务器里有没有星穹铁道玩家呢？相比战斗过程，其实我更喜欢它的剧情和文案，特别是对话选择，每条可选的对话内容都不一样，不同的对话选择也会对后续剧情带来实际的影响（小声吐槽下，原神里，提供的对话选择大多数是一样的内容），不仅是因为给予玩家实质的选择权而让人有了参与感，而且也因为对话中出现的官方玩梗让人忍俊不禁。 说回制作角色 bot，以上对我的灵感启发，就是要提供具体化的、对玩家有实质话题启发的、选项之间还带有些反差的建议回复内容。 也就是说，这个建议回复功能，我不仅需要它实用，也需要它有趣！它也能成为对话乐趣的一部分~这是它的第二个好处！

Next, I will introduce my two bots that have the function of providing suggested replies~ (In fact, there is only one from the perspective of content, but in order to create a comparison, I have created two versions based on gpt-3.5 & gpt-4. Everyone can compare and see how the effects differ.)

Firefly 流萤

Your girlfriend, Firefly, is nearing the end of her life due to a terminal illness. Today is her birthday, and she wishes to fully enjoy this special day with you, making the most of the limited time you both have together.

At the beginning of the Bot, the player meets Firefly downstairs at her house, getting ready for a date. In the opening dialogue, Firefly will ask you how she looks today, and the Bot will provide you with two suggested reply options: one is "good-looking" and the other is "just so so." You can use it as a reference for your reply, or you can ignore it and give your own reply (this is important, it's just a suggestion, not forcing you). After you reply, Firefly will continue the conversation with you, and you will keep receiving suggested reply options. The interesting thing is that I have specifically designed the two suggested reply options, so they have a cute contrast. Even I can't help but laugh at the options when chatting with Firefly. It's a bit like playing a game and going through the storyline!
Bot 的开头，就是玩家与 Firefly 在她家楼下碰头，准备开始约会的一天。在开场白，Firefly 会问你她今天看起来如何，Bot 就为你提供了两个建议回复选项：一是好看；二是一般般。你可以将其作为回复的参考，也可以忽略它，给出你自己的回复（这点很重要，它只是启发，而不是强制你）。当你回复完后，Firefly 会继续跟你展开对话，你也会继续得到建议回复选项。有趣的事情是，因为我专门对两个建议回复选项做了人设设定，所以两条选项对比起来会有可爱的反差。我自己在与 Firefly 聊天时也会被选项内容笑到不行。有点像在打游戏过剧情一样！

Wow, what an amazing function! This is really an inspiring idea. This will be even more valuable after workflow update. Thank you for sharing!

After few chattings I found out a limitation;

1. The story will not progress with only suggested reply.
2. Since it limits room for other prompts, it's really weak to character-breakage (Which means more AI omniscience appearing).
   I think both of problems can be solved if this function is later put in module form.

Just to mention, your idea was great and your bots were nice. Also it is great to see a creator multiple genesis pass.

The points you earn is absurdly less than your bot's quality (because it's SFW bot ) but I believe Myshell always rewards true talented creators one way on another and they did until now. (e.g. hype after putting on featured)

Keep building on better bots! You are already a great bot creator.

• Some suggestions ; Since auto reply is on, I think longer replies from bot and replies prompting story further can give users better experience.

But I'm working hard, picking up tips from everyone on how to make a bot that's not just more fun but also top-notch in quality.
