Intro
I just wanted to post this forum thread to have some sort of collected knowledge base of frequently answered questions; also maybe discuss about some tactics on how to spot and snipe better value bots.
Also probably just posting this here incase someone wants to search. Also I want to add that this is based on what I've understood and read so far by the way so feel free to correct me so I can edit this.
Questions and Answers
Q: What determines how many points you get on a certain bot?
A: Usage. If the owner lets say gets 40 points everyone else who do the badges also gets a share of those 40 points then eventually as the badges continue to go up, everyone else has to share those 40 points based on the badge number.
For example: Assume that a Genesis Pass Holder has earned a total of 15200 Points thanks to achieving 3800 conversations. On this bot, there are a total of 10 badges staked by various holders. If you have invested 3 of those badges yourself, the distribution of points operates on a fair share basis determined by the number of badges staked.
First, we determine how many points each badge deserves by dividing the Total Points by the Total Number of Badges:
- Points Per Badge = (15200 Points / 10 Badges) = 1520 Points per Badge
Given that you have 3 badges:
- Your share of points would be calculated as 1520 Points times the 3 Badges you own, equaling 4560 Points.
So, in essence, with your 3 badges out of total 10, from a bot that earned 15200 Points, you're entitled to 4560 Points due to the performance and the rate of participation (in the form of badges) you contributed.
Q: Are the badges permanent or consumable?
A: They are permanent; You can indefinitely gain points (or nothing) depending on the bots performance.
Q: Can I sell my badges or am I stuck with the bot I picked?
A: You can sell them, but you'll have to pay a 10% fee if you want to refund the coins.
Q: My bot isn't earning me any points at all what does this mean?
A: You usually have to wait 24 hours to see how many points you're getting, if even after 24 hours you still haven't received even 1 point, that means the bot isn't getting any uses; you're kind of stuck and have to refund it and pay 10%, so pick wisely.
Q: What happens when a bot gets unpublished or removed?
A: You get a full coin refund.
Q: What's the maximum amount of badges I can stake/add on a single bot?
A: The current maximum amount is 3 per bot.
Q: Can I put a badge on an unpublished bot?
A: The answer is no, and the option to include a badge on a private bot does not exist. and just like the question above, if a bot gets forcefully unpublished, everyone's coins get returned.
Q: How is the ROI calculated?:
A: ROI = (Total Earnings / My Total Spent)
Q: I pledged a bot whom I think is a cheater will I still get points?
A: No, you'll have your coins refunded if that bot gets removed, then all points removed.
Strategies
Non-Genesis Pass Holder Techniques:
- Checking the trending page. Find a bot that you think is interesting then check if the bot lives up to it's description and quality.
- Snoop around the https://discord.com/channels/1122227993805336617/1180406458966360124 page and wait for some notable creators that are known to create popular bots to maybe unpublish or create a new potentially popular bot, then immediately pledging on their first creation.
Genesis Pass Holder Techniques:
- Triple stack the coins if you think no one is going to use your bot; and you think you might have an interesting idea soon, that way when it becomes popular you'll be the majority badge holder essentially doubling the amount of points you get.
