This is the case throughout the prompt engineering design

  • Step 1: Generate a purpose
    Behind this purpose is hidden the creator's cognitive factors related to format, content, social environment, morality and law, etc., which are temporarily unable to be expressed, called hidden information.
    Then the individual uses the analysis method to carry out the preliminary excavation of hidden information, which is the first perfection of the purpose.

  • Step 2: Express the purpose using prompt engineering techniques
    There are no necessarily effective prompt engineering techniques to help you complete the purpose of the expression, you can use a few shot as a first try.
    Please note: The examples provided are based on the purpose and the criteria to achieve the purpose. Do not rush to select the criteria at once, which is still the auxiliary purpose can be better determined and expressed

  • Step 3: Verify the output,
    Determine how relevant the output is to the design purpose.
    Although the reference example is given, it does not mean that AI can understand and execute well, and it also needs to self-audit whether the generated content meets its own purposes.
    This step is critical because it involves the verification and judgment of purpose and results.
    If the output result is highly relevant to the purpose, it means that the preliminarily designed (purpose + technology) prompt words are more likely to be captured by AI to meet the key Attention, thus meeting the purpose, and your potential hidden information is meeting the purpose of expression.
    On the contrary, it means that the prompt word design is not clear about the expression of the purpose, and there is interference in the process of AI extracting Attention, so we must carefully think about whether the expression of Attention is correct, which requires the art of language.
    In either case, this is a process of checking the expression of hidden information (that is, verifying that the relevant factors behind the creator's understanding match its purpose).
    Through checking, there is a second clear description of the hidden information behind the purpose, and a review of personal cognition.
    After checking, your purpose will be strengthened and renewed.
