TheBestTranslator is a stable translation tool that can translate any input content into several different English versions:

  • Literal translation
  • Polished version
  • Internet chat abbreviation version(for discord)
  • Emotionally exaggerated version

In this bot, I have made two extreme attempts in multiplication:
**1. Stable translation. **
In ordinary translation, bots often respond to the translated content. For example, if you want to translate "お元気ですか？", the bot may not translate it honestly into "How are you?" but may respond with an overblown self-awareness of "I'm fine, and you?".
In addition, most bots will refuse to translate ||NSFW|| content, which is not ideal.

But with stable translation, this tool can translate everything stably! Whether it's a greeting or ||NSFW||, it can be translated as it is.

2. Stable format
The bot's output format is stably composed of four Markdown Headers and code blocks.
In ordinary format restrictions, bots often fall short-
But this robot can stably output all four parts! Not one is missing!!!

The content of the prompt consists of three parts:

  • Translation requirement rules
  • Format example
  • Translation effect example

This very simple prompt actually uses a lot of tricks, including but not limited to:

  • Markdown
  • HTML
  • CoT (Chain of Thoughts)
  • One-Shot prompting

If humans were to teach a prompt course, syntax like Markdown and HTML should be taught in the first chapter as a foundation, while CoT and zero/one/few shot techniques should be a permanent fixture in the exam!

**The system prompt, which is supported by a bunch of tricks, is already an exceptionally stable prompt. **
It hardly ever gets too self-aware or lacks formatting.

However, it still adheres to the principle of being a robot: it refuses to translate ||NSFW content||!!!

  1. This bot is designed purely for extreme testing.
    If you don't need the behavior art of "stable translation of any content in a stable format," you can simply choose one option in Enhanced Prompts and Intro Message.

  2. The advantage of the final stable solution is that it is extremely reliable and can translate anything in an elegant manner.
    However, it is not 100% perfect - after dozens of rounds of chatting, the bot's performance may degrade to a version without Intro constraints!
    Rest assured, it can still translate stably, just not 100% elegantly orz.

  3. Behind the small tricks involved here are countless desks that have been smashed in frustration - I have been struggling with stable translation for two months...
    Now I can finally submit a slightly satisfactory answer sheet!!!!!

Update: The issue of exposing content such as "<DO NOT ...>" in the conversation has been resolved

How it works

When you are dealing with code blocks in a more primitive Markdown editor, you can actually enter two pieces of content: one for marking the language of the code block and another for the actual content of the code block.

However, the part used to mark the language of the code block can be written arbitrarily and will not be rendered - which means that this hidden corner is an ideal place to tame large language models.
