How to apply bold and italic formatting?

- To make text bold, use
**bold**. - To make text italicized, use
*italicized*.
Many other formatting options, such as strikethrough, code inline, and code blocks, can be achieved using simple symbols.

Markdown is a lightweight markup language for creating formatted text using a plain-text editor. John Gruber created Markdown in 2004 as a markup language that is appealing to human readers in its source code form. Markdown is widely used in blogging, instant messaging, online forums, collaborative software, documentation pages, and readme files...
Lily seems like an invaluable language tool! Tailored feedback, level-based support, and diverse learning goals make for an ideal language partner. Excited to explore its potential!
