I'm on 0.8.2 now and I just got this error message when a trainer used Beat Up. I unfortunately don't have a save file handy for this one, but it happened with one of the trainers in Rock Tunnel on Modern Mode if that helps.
Edit: I saved before rematching them and was able to recreate it (Though it took a couple tries). I'll add that save file.

Also, wasn't sure about this at first, but can now confirm that when this happens, it restarts the move so it effectively one-shots anything it hits.

ok i was wrong this IS related to my mod (but not the AI) in a very unexpected way
