pixel games players are just not that great, the vast majority (myself included) are not artist, and the few who are just don't make that much art, and when they do it's a standalone piece that doesn't fit anywhere

The concept is attractive to those who don't understand the audience. This website, sadly, is not full of level-headed and cooperative artists; it's mostly just full of flaggots who participate in country-based warfare. If a reset were to happen, we'd see the same people try to re-create the same arts in the same places. r/place is a good example. 3 events, and three separate instances of blue corner, massive flags, and black voids. Yes, some things change, but it's really not that different. I'd rather just see a new canvas added (mars canvas when?). Regardless of your opinion on the current earth canvas, a reset is mostly just a slap in the face to the few true artists who've made actual quality art.

Lastly, a reset introduces precedent towards the idea that any art is temporary and can be wiped at any time. No one would make large, high-quality art if they knew it could be wiped at some point.
