#Tools texture replacing in Hammer++

Have you tried using the custom folder instead?
X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer\hl2mp\custom\sampersandbox\materials\tools
(x being a stand-in for your drive letter)
i added to the gameinfo.txt ``` game+mod |gameinfo_path|.```` in the search path and they worked in H++
i think what that line does is search and load loose files 1st then searches the vpk's instead of vpk getting searched and loaded 1st
won't they pack if you add them to the normal materials folder?
its just vtf's they might pack if you use compilepal or vide
packing tool textures is a thought too horrifying to comprehend, the custom folder is better for this
theres no point in packing really you don't see them in game any way
that's what i'm saying, you don't want them to pack but they probably do if you use the regular materials folder
i'm sure they do because the compile tools would use them for there purpose is then delete them just leaving the bounding /collison box they make
