so im trying to compile my P2 map, but uh, its always stopping at the portalflow file.

At the bottom of compile it shows the portalflow not loading

honestly the compiling though has been really slow, even for the other stuff. maybe this is part of it

it just takes around 10 minutes for a dot to appear

that just means you have a lot of visleaves and a very wide open map

so portalflow is going to take extremely long

func_viscluster helps speed that up
but make sure you don't have a hollow brush skybox or something

another thing is func_detail

a bunch of small brushes that are left as world brushes can causes tons of unecessary visleaf cuts
