The animation team did speed up some aoe animations several years ago, making them hit everyone at the same time.Sadly there are still aoes that still follow the old trend of targetting each individual separately (e.g counterparts of storm lord and forest lord for other schools,life bat AND almost all aoes in Beastmoon etc...).i'd love to see those updated.Additionally, we need some animations to be faster in general such as guardian spirit taking so long to be applied and later used when its target dies the 1st time (this is especially relevant in beasmoon).
I'd also love to see aoe utilities (spells such as mass feint,legion shields,V-plagues etc) and aoe OT's as well ( namely spells like scald,life bat etc) affect all targets at once instead of individually just like the new norm for the newer and updated aoes.
Furthermore, DoTs/HoTs "ticking" animations (when they're damaging/healing the target) have been recently sped up for spells and not others.all the older spells' ticking OT animations should definitely catch up and be updated to be way faster even when only one hot or dot is generated ( especially in beastmoon).
I'd also love to see spell casts animations be skipped in raids/challenge modes and even when the player in casual PvE wants that with an in-game setting ( and by that i mean when you cast spells, they instantly transition to the phase where buffs/debuffs apply and then the spell does its effect, basically the exact same mechanic that happens in beastmoon).
Finally the last set of spells that could use an animation update and be faster is spells such as trap fuels,incindiate and tri/dual blades which apply several effects at once on the same target or otherwise.
In general i think this game could benefit a lot from having a "fast combat" feature similar to what pirate101 has.
I can definitely see this would be so much work for the animation team but it's definitely feasible given enough time and the fact that spells are categorized .
